Anyone else noticed the knew categories? I'm not sure I like this new addition. I like TruSnow because it was solely based on snowboarding and skiing. But now it going to be like all the other websites. The're going to be a bunch of threads on biking, water skiing and wake boarding.
 I don't know about that stuff, that's why I was on this website for solely boarding. What going to happen to the giveaway? Will they get rid of it? Start giving away bikes and wake boards? I don't like the change, anyone else agree? rabble rabble rabble rabble rabble rabble rabble rabble rabble

Well, now that the house owns them they're expanding TruSnow to sell everything the house sells. I wouldn't mind if TruSnow was all boards, I really don't think bikes have a place here though.

I don't think it's a bad thing. If you patrol the forums as much as I do, you already know that there are a lot of regulars on here that are bike enthusiasts. Although I think everyone here came for the snow, there are those "other" months in the year where we have to keep ourselves entertained and active. There will always be plenty of snowboarding threads to chat in. I also noticed none of the links for new categories actually work.

They've been saying they wanted to expand for quite some time. I personally don't mind it. I am into mtn biking, road biking, hiking, camping... I wouldn't mind more people chatting about that stuff as well. It's just like any other thread that you just glaze over when you're on this site. If it doesn't interest you, move on.
I'm not interested in the Michigan or Colorado threads because I have nothing of value to add to a part of the country I don't know. It doesn't mean that shouldn't be a thread on the site.

before this was the-house we talked about biking and wakeboarding. It's not the dominant feature and likely will never be.
Besides skiing, mountain biking, hiking, trail running, snowboarding, wakeboarding, etc...they all have their benefits

I would love if they added wakeboarding because i live on the lake and wake board myself so i think it would be a great addition.

I agree, I would love if they added wakeboarding. I got into wakeboarding about 2 and a half years ago and absolutely love it. I don't live on a lake like randman24, but live near a river where a local ski/snowboard hill owner does wakeboard sessions on a Mastercraft X2. Killer boat and he is a great teacher so I am hooked on it now that I have progressed so much faster than I expected to.
