Baltimore, LA Angels and Washington have clinched their divisions.  Dodgers have secured a playoff spot.  Detroit and St. Louis are still fighting to win their division.  Good time to be a baseball fan.

yeah that is given at this point...I think he wins the MVP too.

Dodgers huge comeback last night and pounded the Cubs today...again bats coming together at the right time.  Kemp continues his huge turn around...

A's drop 2 to the league-worst Rangers and are on the verge of dropping out of the wildcard spots. And everyone thought the A's would be the team to beat after making those trades to get those pitchers...

My brother lives in Orange County...he says that it's funny that nobody there is talking about the Angels even though they have the best record in MLB. Ppl there talk about the Lakers more...and they're not even playing..and they suck...LOL

Dodger bats finally coming together at the same time...and at the perfect time...battling with Nats for best record in NL...home field would be huge.

That was more like it last night for the Dodgers. Both Kemp and Crawford really turned their seasons around. Kemp is up to 284 average and Crawford 291. Kemp also has 36 doubles and about 20 homers...Ramirez is starting to rake too...good timing as playoffs are approaching.

Such a big game tonight...Kershaw can lock down CY tonight and continue case for MVP with another dominant outing.

I'm sure Kersh will continue his winning ways. 2 of 3 check.

Have to win at least won of the next two against the Giants...would be brutal if swept with three best pitchers on the team going.

Jays sweep of the Cubs puts them 3.5 back of a wc spot. With 18 games to go it's a longshot to get in but stranger things have happened.

Giants keep making it interesting for the dodgers...they are only 2 back and have 6 more games between them...winning the division is so critical...I think they hold them off though on the back of their starting pitching.

yeah kind of brutal for them considering they went all in with the trades they made and they got worse instead of better...but who knows maybe they salvage it and get their act together in the playoffs.

Angels have the best record in baseball and they have locked that division at this point.

Only race left it seems is KC and Detroit and Dodgers and Giants for the division.

Only wild card battle left seems to be Detroit and Seattle.  Still time for a team to make a run but I would guess the teams finish just as they stand right now.

Well the angels are in the wild card mix, that means that Oakland has taken the division, so either way, there are going to be too many good teams in there for Toronto to make up ground on in the next 3.5 weeks.

Well it's september, and Baltimore isn't going to choke this one to say.  And It is going to be tough to win the Wild Card with Oakland and Detroit in the mix.

Giants winning by a lot. Hooks that lead and try to catch up up to those darn Dodgers. Out at least stay up on the wild card.

^ That they are! The bats are just rolling right now. Still don't think they have the pitching depth to go far but who knows.

My Jays need to sweep the Yankees this wkd. This could pretty much their last chance at a wc spot. But I'm not holding my breath.

^ Give him the Cy Young now, why bother waiting?  31 earned runs in 161.1 innings pitched is absurd.  0.84 WHIP, only 23 walks... amazingly dirty numbers.

Kershaw cruises to another victory with 8 innings of 1 run ball with 10ks...Lowers ERA to 1.73.

In his last 13 games he pitched at least 7 innings in every one of them and 10 of the 13 he went 8 or more:

9.0 -> 5
8.0 -> 5
7.0 -> 3

In all 13 starts he was not walked more than 2 batters while striking out 10 or more in 6 of them.
