Interesting enough Crawford is starting to heat up...if he hits that really gives a boost to the offense.

Started 3-0 down in first and came back to score 8.

Jays road trip has been horrible. The best will be a 4-4 record. Playoffs looking bleak at this point.

Tough loss to the M's. Not much can be done against Felix. Hoping the Jays can even things out.

Ryu was great last night...really good sign to lose the first game against the Angels and then come back and win three straight against that team. NL best 16 games over 500 now.

Good to see Haren show up for the first time in months against the Angel bats no less...it will be interesting to see what they do with him moving forward since his team option will automatically vest if he reaches a certain inning threshold which he is rapidly approaching.

Kershaw was roughed up for the first three innings...first time that had happened in a very long time...he settled down and did not give up a hit after that and made it through 7.  Dodgers eek out win in 9th.

Tigers making a serious splash by landing Price! Wow I totally didn't see that coming. But losing Austin Jackson hurts the outfield. Guess Tori Hunter will be shifting back to the middle. This tigers rotation is stacked but jv and max need to get back their old form. It's been a roller coaster with those 2 this year which prompted this trade.

From what I've read the Tigers are planning on using Rajai Davis and Ezequeil Carrera in CF.

Cubs beat the Rockies last night, taking 3 of 4 in the series.  Cubbies should play Colorado more often.
I like Rajai in centre. Nice to hear he's given a shot.

Jays win streak is over. Still in striking distance to the O's.

^ Wow, that's quite a pitching rotation.  Between Verlander, Scherzer and Price they have 3 or 4 Cy Young awards, correct?

A's bulk up, too, getting Lester.  That's a big move, did Billy leave the organization?

Latest news: Detroit Tigers win the David Price sweepstakes. Now they have, in addition to Price, Max Scherzer, Anibel Sanchez, Rich Procellos and, of course, Justin Verlander. The AL playoffs are going to fun to watch. Clap

Yeah, Lester's contract is expiring after the year. So the A's are banking on winning this year. The moves they've been making this season are very un-Billy Bean-like. I guess not winning the WS after so many years of moneyball is making him change his strategy...

Looks good on paper for the A's until Lester returns back to the Bosox next year. A's better win it all now.

Bosox really cleaning house. Lester, doubront, lackey. Wonder if big papi is gonna go too.

Didn't you guys just get one of the top 5 prospects in all of baseball in the A's trade :)

But yeah dodgers aren't giving up anything exciting for Barney.

Kemp homers twice and pound out 15 hits against the Braves....both Gonzalez and Kemp are hitting over 400 since the break.  Kemp has hit over 300 for awhile now albeit with little power.  If he starts getting his home run stroke back...forget it the Dodgers will run away with the division.

It's the Cubs, they will end up with some marginal utility player.  There's no joy in Wrigleyville.

Just went to a Seattle Mariners versus Mets game with my kids, 6 and 7. It was great to have them finally understanding the sport. It didn't peak their interest for long but I hope to have future baseball fans to share the sport with.

Apparently you have the best farm system in baseball so hopefully things start turning around next year and then they start getting good in the years that follow.  But yeah they are in a tough stretch.

^ It's a long season, all teams go through various slumps, funks, etc.  In some cases (Cubs) the slumps, funks, etc. last longer than other teams... it's tough being a Cubs fan.
