Tigers win 7-5 in Chicago, Miggy goes 4-for-4 with 1 R and 2 RBI.  Cabrera is the fastest player to reach 400 HR and 1500 RBI.  And people thought he was tailing off in his old age...

Cleveland loses to Baltimore, helping Detroit climb within 6 games of the Tribe.

Tiger get back to winning, squeezing out a 2-1 win over the White Sox.  The game was called after 7 innings due to rain but we'll take the win.

Tigers lose 2 of 3 to the lowly Twins.  Detroit's top brass needs to determine if they are buyers or sellers as the trade deadline looms.  This team is getting older (JV, Miggy, Victor), might be time to trade a star for some young talent.

Rangers have been on a slump...2-8 in the last 10...no longer have the best record in the AL...really need to get healthy...

Tigers lose to the awesome Twins 6-2 last night.  Tommy Millone pitched into the 9th inning before being replaced after giving up a couple runs.  Tigers' bats are sleeping, someone needs to wake 'em up.  Maybe a sacrifice to Jobu.

Tigers win 1-0 over the Twinkies, Matt Boyd throws 6 scoreless innings only allowing 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 7.  Upton hits a HR for the only run of the game.

Tigers win 4-2 on a 2 run walk-off HR from Saltalamacchia, taking the series from Kansas City.  Facing the last-place Twins tonight.

Went to the Tigers game with 49 of my best friends last night... only to watch Pelfry get hammered in the first inning and the Tigers lose 8-4 to the Royals.

Good start to 2nd half of the season for the Tigers as they beat the Royals 4-2 behind Verlander's pitching: 10Ks, 4 hits, 2 R (1 earned) in 7 innings.

In other news Stephen Strasburg gets his 13th consecutive win of the season, a streak that started last season making it 16 consecutive wins.

Al Star break is over, Tigers start a series with the Royals tonight.

In a related story Darryl Strawberry was interviewed on SiriusXM yesterday morning and admitted to having s e x during games in the clubhouse between innings.  Damn, as if it wasn't enough he got paid millions of dollars to play a game...

American League wins the All Star game again, this time 4-2.  KC Royals helped power the win with Hosmer (MVP) and Perez hitting HRs off former Royal Cueto in the 2nd.  Home field advantage goes to the AL.

I guess it won't matter since we are in an even numbered year - meaning the SF Giants will win the World Series.

Giancarlo Stanton crushes the competition in the HR Derby last night.  In the first round he hit 24 HRs on 30 swings, 14 of them were 440 feet or longer.  Second round he hit 17 HRs, 14 of them were 440 feet or longer.  His final tally was 61 HRs, a new HR Derby record.

I don't typically watch or follow baseball very much.  However, this year me and the wifey are taking a trip out to Boston to watch the Redsox play the Yankees.  Tickets were expensive but it will be well worth it.

Tigers go into the All Star Break on a losing note, 6-1 to Toronto.  It's beyond me why they continue to move Anibal Sanchez from the bullpen to starter, the dude just can't pitch any more.  Cut your losses and release him.

Victor Martinez homers in the 8th to push the Tigers to a 3-2 win over the Blue Jays.

Yankees up 6-5 over the Indians in the 6th, need NY to win (and I hate the Yankees...).

... and the bullpen fails the Tigers once again, losing 5-4 last night. Could have gained a game on the Indians if the bullpen held up as Cleveland lost to NY last night.

Rangers stopped the bleeding and beat the Red Sox last night 7-2. They were up 3-2 in the 9th, and lit up Craig Kimbrel for 4 more runs.

There was so much talk about Madison Bumgarner DH'ing for himself in an AL stadium last night. All the talking heads thought it was a bad move. He ended up 1/4, got a run, and only struck out once. The A's DH was also 1/4, also got a run, and struck out twice. In the mean time, MadBum pitched 6.1 innings and got the win, the only win in the 4-game series with the A's. Looks like it wasn't a bad decision after all. Maybe that's why Bochey's got 3 rings since 2010 and the talking heads are just talking heads LOL

^ Life imitates art?  Indians going on a historic winning streak, reaching 13 games last night.  Didn't they go on a huge winning streak in Major League?

In other news the Tigers entered the 9th inning down 7-2 in Miami last night and leave with a 10-7 win, scoring 8 runs in the top of the 9th.

That's OK, just want to win the division.  I was excited about the wild-card play-in a couple years ago, but the postseason kinda sucks if you don't win that game

Rangers end a 4-game win streak in a 9-7 loss to the Yankees last night. Closer Sam Dyson allowed 4 runs in the 9th to get the loss, his 1st blown save this season. Game 4 tonight with AJ Griffin pitching his 2nd start back from injury against Pineda. Lets go Rangers!

Tigers win again, 10-3 over Miami.  Miggy goes 3-4 with 2 runs, 1 HR, 3 RBI.

Cleveland wins their 12th straight.  Must be something in the water in Lake Erie...

And they keep winning.  What is it, 11 in a row now?  Oops, I didn't jinx the streak, did I?

Tigers manage to score 7 runs in the 5th inning and hold on to win 7-5 over Miami last night.

lmao... funniest thing I read today.  We're happy to have Ian Kinsler playing for Detroit and Fielder out there in Texas.

Although you may want to re-think that offer, Prince has been heating up lately, hasn't he?

Live it up and enjoy it while you can, Tribe will implode before the end of the season.

Meanwhile, it may be time for the Tigers to make some moves, this roster is nothing better than a .500 club.
