Not a good start for the Jays thus far. Hoping the KC series will turn things around for them.

I thought the jays were going to be amazing this year. Their problem is pitching. Josh Johnson pitched horrible his last start. Dickey can't pitch in a dome where theirs no wind. His knuckle won't move, still there's like 150 game left to play.

True, everything is always looks good on paper. But there is plenty of game left. So far the best starter in the rotation is JA Happ. I think he'll get his second win tonight. As for Johnson, he just doesn't seem to be mixing his pitches well. Looks like he wants to throw a bunch of fastballs inside and out but ends up leaving them over the plate. Dickey will come around once the weather warms up and the dome is opened. The HRs he's given up were him trying to throw fastballs. Why? I have no idea. But I don't think this team is all hype, they will eventually live up to it once things warms up. Not everyone is hot out of the gates. Look at Boston last year. They did pretty well after that. I still have faith in this Jays team.

Greinke's elbow turned out to be fine then Quentin breaks his collar bone.  I think that contract is snake-bitten.

Crazy triple play by the Yanks last nite. I guess that makes up for the balk on CC.

That's 2 in a row for my Jays. Finally Dickey won a game.

Giants win on the road. Casilla's first save. Bullpen has been pretty smooth.

What a rollercoaster ride of a game for the Giants and Cubs today. timmy doing his one terrible inning and then settling in and somehow the bullpen gets rattled today. A bunch of contributors today for the giants with PENCE COMING UP CLUTCH. 2 strike 2 out homer to tie the game in the ninth. and a collective finishing in the 10th with romo on a solid close. what a game

i think his velocity is still there. Just doesn't seem to have good control of his pitches and is getting rocked. Hoping he'll get things straightened out soon.

Wow...Mets actually doing pretty good....
But this always happens....they somehow do good for the first half and after all star break, they will go down the drain.....sigh....

That's a good point about Dickey's knuckleball being muted in the dome.  Hope he can get it worked out.  I would not put much faith in Josh Johnson... he is the new Rich Harden.

Jays starting to come around with 2 of 3 in KC and now a win against the chisox. Second half of the month is gonna be huge as its mostly NY, BAL, and BOS. GO Jays!

The Phillies' offense has been brutal this past week... 8 runs in the last 4 games.  The Reds bring in Chapman and it's like there is no suspense, they have no shot against this guy.  I know Homer Bailey pitched a no-hitter last year, but they're making this dude look like Tom Seaver.

This has been their problem the last 4 years. Ever since that giants series in 09. They don't have clutch hitting. They used to be a hr hitting team, now they don't hit anything.

Pretty disappointing after what happened to Greinke that the Dodgers let the Padres come in and rip them the first two games!

Truly amazed how the A's are 11-4 so far. Guess they're proving that last season was no fluke.

Also, how are the Braves 12-1? Thought that was the Nats div to own.

Braves finally lost, but they look like the real deal.  I was skeptical, but there is too much talent.  Not to mention they are doing all this with Freeman on the DL.

There are a god number of teams that have looked a lot better on the road this season than in their own stadiums.. Kinda weird!
Braves and A's both are 6-0 on the road.

Brewers are puttin a hurt on the Giants today. And Gallardo even gave himself his own run support with a 2-run homer. Might've been catchable had the OF got a better timed jump.. but always love to see the pitchers help themselves :)

Just got an email from the SF Giants telling people to arrive early for games because they're raising security levels to that of the World Series. I'm guessing the same thing is happening at other stadiums and arenas...

Giants with a nice win yesterday. And Posey to catch for Timmy today, which was rare last season. And how fitting he pitches today. Let Timmy smoke.

Good to see vintage Doc in the flesh last night.  Had good velocity and was keeping the Cards' hitters off-balance.  After those first two horrible starts he appears to have figured out what was going wrong... here's hoping this continues until he gets his beloved Chooch back behind the dish.

The nl central is ridiculously close. That div is totally up for grabs. But still a lot of baseball to go.

Over Oakland's 3-game skid, Texas overtook em to lead the AL West. I was hoping the M's would've continued some of the good work they did last season, but they still cant produce runs worth a shit.
Doesn't help on days like today when ya gotta crawl out of the hole your SP dug, giving up 8 runs on 8 hits in under 5 innings. 9 of Texas' 11 runs tonight were scored with 2 outs... WTF!

^at least the Ms didnt trade for a bunch of over hyped players that are all under performing.

I cant believe that KC really is sitting in first out of central. But I'm sure Detroit will wake up sooner or later.

Dodgers have lost 7 of 9... it will be interesting to see what happens with Mattingly if it gets to the All Star Break and they are underperforming with that payroll.

While we're on the M's... Felix picked up his career 100th win tonight over the 'Stros. And they finally gave him some run support! woooh! Least they can beat ONE team out of Texas lol.

As for the AL Central, it is certainly the tightest race in the majors right now. Losing the one run game in the 13th yesterday didn't do any favors for their confidence I'm sure, but they got a load of talent and it's a long, long season. You gonna be able to see any games of any team this season, Von?

^I wasn't planning a trip til next year but a few buddies have kinda convinced me to do one up. Thinking a small one on the westcoast. Possibly LA, Anaheim and SD. Jays playing SD late May to beginning of June. I would love to extend it to SF and Oakland but I don't think I've got that much time off left due to the boarding trips this year. Yourself j_lucky?

Von44: if you plan on going to SF for a game, you need to buy your tickets way in advance because they get sold out. A's tickets are easy to get, just buy them at the stadium ticket window, and they're cheap.

The Rangers pitching is getting it done. Lowest runs allowed in the AL, 2nd in the majors. Now, if the bats can wake up more, they can build some distance from the A's for the division lead.

Not sure Boston can put up with Aceves much longer... he gave up 8 runs, balked twice, forgot to cover first base on a groundball and then blamed the offense (#3 in the AL) for not scoring enough.  Classy.

i usually find tix at stubhub but last resort would be buying from scampers. Though I hear giants tix are super pricey! Up there wi Bosox and Yankees' games.

Jays just blew a 5-2 lead after a strong start with 4 homers. So hard to close out the O's.

when you win 2 world series in 3 years, you can make fans pay up their nose. or, you can be like oakland and not pay your players, and sell $2 tickets to the masses.

Just checked stubhub for seats on June 4-5 and looked ok in terms of prices. $30 would be my limit I think. Save the rest for beer.

Hoping the Jays can at least split the series heading into NY. Great comeback yesterday to avoid the sweep in Baltimore but just not consistent enough.

$30's not bad..i paid about $25 for bleacher seats in the right field homerun area. got sun in the eye in the afternoon..and can't see the jumbotron...Ouch

Phillies bullpen blew another one.   The offense was no help at all. They called up a minor leaguer to start on Monday, and he got the win.  Then they sent out Hamels, Halladay and Lee (who all pitched well!) and couldn't get one W.

Somethin lit a fire under KC's ass tonight! Winning by 5 in an extra inning game.... crazy!

Also... this might be the best post-game scene EVER!
