R the dodgers just hopeless or what? I don't follow baseball but every time I see them playing or watch sports center, the dodgers are losing. Is it the management or do they need new owners?

Yes finally a win for Cole! It'd be a shame if the Philly offense didn't show up. But that'd be hard to do with the way Brown has been hitting. This guy is on one of the craziest streaks I've ever seen. But as for Hamels, let's hope he keeps winning so you don't cringe as much at the sight of his record.

They already have new owners. It's just a bunch of overpaid underachieving players.

Media has made a lot of noise about Houston's run lately.  Now they are only the 2nd worst team in baseball.  The problem is that Miami is the worst because they tried to become the worse.  Houston is down there despite efforts to be good.

Houston and Florida both realized that under the new collective bargaining rules, the worst team has a major advantage in the draft and signing international free agents (i.e. more money to play with in giving out bonuses).  The race to the bottom will be very intriguing.

Well I guess that's good news for my Jays as they're currently in position to have the #6 pick. This season is pretty much another wash with all the injuries and underachievers. Would prolly be better to just tank the remainder of the season and secure the highest pick they can get.

But either way, the players association are going to have a cow.

Affedlt has been solid for us this year too.... But I don't think Cain should've gone out there to pitch to that first batter in the 8th. Either way, this was a huge let down, I was so excited to see Cain dealing today. Such an important game too....

Jays just signed Chien Ming Wang. Pretty hard to beat a rotation consisting of Dickey, Johnson, Wang! Lol

At the jays/rangers game. Hope Buehrle can limit the damage and the jays bats get to Darvish early on.

I guess an offensive explosion is an acceptable way to win with shoddy pitching. Bum was doing okay with a huge lead, I guess bochy just trying to protect him. Ramirez doesn't seem to be the same pitcher he was when he was a critical part in our 2010 campaign. I guess that's why he was in the minors for so long this season. crucial win for the giants today though.

And here I thought the jays/rangers game was a long going 18 innings. Can't believe the mets/marlins took it up a notch going 20 strong!

On a side note, Dominic Brown now has 19 homers. This guy has really made a name for himself in just over a month. I wonder if he can keep it up.

Um Kemp hit 39 home runs and stole 40 bases less than two seasons ago...

The Dodgers have built a smidgen of momentum...really need to win today to take 3 of 4 from an excellent Brave's team...cant get healthy though...Ramirez hurt again, Crawford out, Kemp out...tough to overcome but if Puig can carry them until Crawford and Kemp return and they stay within striking distance maybe they can go on a run...big maybe.

^  I watch the Phils all the time, and, while this looks like a .500 team, Dom Brown has definitely made them fun to watch in the, "I need to stop what I am doing and watch this at-bat."  He's not taking a lot of walks, but he is working counts and hammering anything in the zone.

yeah gaudin with another quality start. Someone might have to battle for that starting spot once vogey gets healthy. Definitely glad that he's have success as a starter though. A few good games of starting pitching in a row is what I like to see. The past few games look like the Giant's of old

Surprised the games in Chicago didnt get called due to the fog. Dickey still got hammered. Thought the fog would help make it harder to see the pitches. I guess not.

The Cubs should appeal and request to nullify the results of the game.  In fact, how about replaying all of the game so far this season.

Dammit Timmy. another bad day on the mound. the lack of run support early didn't help either. left players stranded in the first and second.

I am mad that they came in on Puig though.  A rookie, who is a hot as can be, and throw chin music and end up hitting him in the face?  That might really cool him off, and that isn't the right way to cool off a player.  It might just make him hungrier though.

Tough against Liriano on the mound and his comeback season.

Jays up against Darvish again. Hoping for another strong start from both pitching and hitting. Just so long as its not another 18 inning marathon.

Anyone hear about the Rockies?  Fowler, CarGon, and Tulow ALL got hurt today in the same game.  First of all, that's crazy.  And also, how does Tulo get hurt every single year?  And I think it's a rib fracture he's gonna be gone a while.  Anyway, make room for the Giants and D-backs, cuz the Rockies are gonna drop in the standings like, well, a rock without their 2-3-4 hitters.  You almost feel bad for Colorado, since they seem to start out crushing the ball every year with their pitching making it work somehow and then by midseason it all falls apart.

^ Yep, you summed it up nicely (they seem to start out crushing the ball every year with their pitching making it work somehow and then by midseason it all falls apart).

Tulo (.347, 16 HR, 51 RBI, 41 R) out 4-6 weeks with broken ribs.  Cargo was hit on the foot by a foul ball while in the on-deck circle

That's life being a Rockies fan, you get used to it.
