You mean the ALDS right? They may surprise people since in the playoffs, 3 great starters and luck can make a lot of difference.

you must have missed the end of last season...nothing new here.
They lost the div lead on the last game of the season but their slump prior to that wasn't as bad as the current one.

I wouldn't mind seeing the A' s /Dodgers in the WS. it would be a nice rematch from back in the day when kirk Gibson hit that legendary walk off HR.

Crazy game last night between the Rays and the O's.  The AL wild card race is going to be a lot of fun the final week.

Wouldn't mind seeing a Dodger do the fist pump while rounding the bases on a homer in honour of Gibson.

Don't feel bad. My jays were nowhere close to expectations this year. I've come to terms that they're the AL punching bag.

Reports are out that Robinson Cano want's $305 million over 10 years.  I think he's been hanging out with Lamar Odom too much.  It's been nice knowing you Robbie.

Love that the Yanks aren't in the playoffs! :D I'm kinda rooting for Detroit for whatever reason... assuming they make a drastic turn from last year, and decide to play defense, they'll be in pretty good shape.

I wouldn't be too sure. They have been on a huge spending spree over the past year. I mean no player is worth 30 mil but based on the signing of Greinke kinda leads me to believe they'd make a splash.

The Greinke deal was not a bad contract imo.  He has an era of 2.67 and is 15-3 this year while missing a month.  He will be crucial to their world series run. The Cano deal would be a bad contract and the dodgers really do not need his bat.

i wouldn't go as far as saying the dodgers don't need canos bat. Any upgrade even on a strength increases their WS chances.

of course he makes them better,  but for that money overall worse,  because the money would be better spent elsewhere.

Like what on another $22 mil 3.50 era pitcher? They've spent this much already so why stop here? Might as well go all out and be known as the LA Yankees.

Small market Rays beat the big-money Rangers in Game 163 to move on to the Wild Card playoff game against the red-hot Indians.  Price pitches a complete game, Longoria contributes a single, double and HR.  Good game for the Rays.

That should be a fun game to watch! Not sure who to root for in this one. I'll always root for a small market team but this time round I'd have to go with the tribe just so Francona can face off against his former club.

Great to see the Pirates advance the wild card game.

Brutal that Kemp is out for playoffs...they really needed him...huge blow to their chances especially with Either still out...

Hard to believe it's been that long. And those Pirates fans were brutal with the heckling of Cueto. Guess that was 22 years of pent up frustration.
