Can anyone please recommend me a stiff cambered board that is a twin? My main purpose to getting this board is for going ground tricks. Currently looking at the Ride DH, but dont know what other options out there.

I think the Solomon's Mans Board might fit the bill nicely. It has gotten rave reviews. It might not be a true twin though.

Burton: custom X and Custom
Nitro: Blacklight Most of the are directional twins but that will be fine for what you want to do.

Yeah there aren't that many stiff cambered boards that have a twin flex. Now, when you say stiff do you mean stiff compared to parkboards or really just like a big mountain board stiff. Maybe you could give us a 1-10 rating of what you want. One board that comes to mind is the burton jeremy jones. I have the 2009 version and it is one of my favorites although it has a directional flex, but I can't even feel the difference, probably because I don't ride switch enough.

Im mean stiff in a sense of park board. Around 7-8? the kinds of ground tricks im interested in are the Japanese ground tricks (no offense). I thought originally they used a soft board. After looking into it, most of them use a stiff board to do it.

What your saying is kind of an oxymoron. "stiff in a sense of park board" most park boards are in the 2-5 flex area. I am not sure how you plan on doing ground tricks with a stiffer board... If you cant do them with a soft board, like hell your going to do the with a stiffer one. I have seen that vid and its a lot of types of butters and what not. My better suggestion is go softer or shorter with a stiffer board. I personally still think you have what ever you looked in to a little confused |

From the Japanese ground trick vids I've seen they have been riding Nitro T1, and Yonex boards. I'd suggest finding out what they ride and going from there.

not super stiff but definitely a solid medium. it would fit the bill for what he's looking for. the cambered indoor/outdoor could also work. medium flex but plenty of camber. pretty playful fun board but really grounded and able to be aggressive from the camber.

The guy in this vid used a Ride DH.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVYhx7P5VkI&feature=plcp&context=C38388fcUDOEgsToPDskIEyImXn5odJp6Mbwgykd1y I understand that every company rank their stiffness diff. According to ride. its a 9/10. It could be medium for a lot of people since its a consider a freestyle/park board. Im doing fine with my Reverse crew. I would like to try something with more pop and have a cambered board along with a rocker that I have now. |

the ratings aren't that different a little bit but not usually more then a point or two at most if they're using the 10 point system. A stiff park board would be something on the average range of like a 5-6 flex for most people.

The Bataleon Riot is a true twin, rated as a stiffer flex and is 'park' board. Ippy has one and he wrote a review.....somewhere here in the forums. I wonder if he can comment for you. Maybe try youtube for some flex reviews?

Id say look into the extreme then. I have a reg stairmaster and i dont find that to be a noodle so with the extra stingers in the extreme i bet that would be quite nice. |
