Well, my resort just closed for the year 4 hours ago. Am I the only one in this boat? We had a 53 day season... I hope someone is getting snow out there... Hoping Colorado is nice by the time that I get out there!

That is devastatingly early, but you're from St. Louis so I assume you haven't really had much of a season until this point. What resort near you closed by the way?

People board in MO?  I thought the weather was usually too warm to support hills.  My in-laws are from southern IL and they get snow, but not consistant.  Not enough to have ski hills.

Well, I don't feel that bad about our season, we're looking at about 65 days I think.  Warm weather and rain are here, we might milk another week out of the local hills, but after that I'm going to have to travel a minimum of 4 hours to find any left over snow.  DAMN THE MIDWEST!!!

I live in se MI and we don't seem to get any snow here.  And it's literally just my area and the surrounding 30-40 miles, everywhere in all directions get snow all winter long.  We got about 8-10" the whole winter. Everywhere around me- double.

Anyhow, I feel your pain man.  Maybe nature will make up for it next winter.  Or we'll get snow in JulyBig smile

Cloudmont in Alabama (YES ALABAMA) has only been open (I believe) 2 days total.

I think I heard Wolf Creek in NC is closing this weekend.

I can't believe Ober Gatlinburg actually has a base left still!

Bummer man but you're not the only one that's hurting this season too.  Maybe if conditions change then maybe your resort will open up again.
Sessions sucks hairy monkey balls, the end.

Wow dude that sounds terrible! Seems like a sucky season over all for most. Let's hope next year is better!

Hope you got in some quality riding during your short season.

I dont know if that would even make a difference if it is going to be 60+ for 5 days in a row.

sometimes you have to take what you can get. everyone hates on man made snow, but it definitely helps keep your mtn open longer during dry seasons. im expecting my mtn to close in a few weeks too.

Yeah i went this weekend to jack frost and big boulder and all of the outer snow on the slopes started melting it was just a horrible day. I think they will close by the end of this week, which is the earliest i ever seen the mountain close.

seems like a dry year for almost everyone... and then next year puts us in the cycle of the suns solar storm or solar flare thing-- hope this doesn't hinder the natural production of snow
let it snow

6-12 in? i ve heard reports of barely a light dusting to snow showers. I pray the temps are cold enough for what you say. We might make it past mid april then.

I'm taking off work and catching the Pow in Tahoe Thurs-fri or Sat, depending on my wife's mood. Make the trip out west! There's a hostel in Truckee that's only $25 a night and it's super clean!
Shop smart... Shop S-Mart.

Luckily i took a trip to utah this year otherwise id be borderline suicidal about this season. Southern california has had no winter at all. Even mammoth has had an epically and historically bad season.

High of 45 LOW of 34 in Incline today.  Storms during the week wont turn out to be anything but rain, looking forward to the Saturday storm.

Lame!  Seems like Sugar Bowl is getting pounded.  Have to head relatively North and West, and get higher altitude . . . .
