Hey, I'm not sure if there is already a topic for this, but I just thought I'd draw some attention to the Canadian Rockies, specifically Banff.

Lake Louise (My personal Fav if your a boarder) has gotten dumped on in the last couple weeks, and they are still getting a little bit more everyday. Snow report: http://www.skilouise.com/conditions/snow-report.php

Sunshine ski resort is also near there and gets pretty well the same snow, but I find that sunshine has a lot of flat spots and dips which will get pretty annoying for a boarder if you don't always remember to keep up enough speed.

I went there 2 weeks ago and had an absolute blast through the trees.

So if you're trying to consider where to go for some late season boarding, maybe check it out!

How about the one in Calgary? The Olympic Park?

Though Calgary is pretty close to Banff, it's also much lower elevation wise. Calgary has been very warm lately and most of the snow is gone. Any know on the Olympic park will pretty well be entirely man-made and likely quite sticky. That being said, aside from a mountain it's still one of the best practice hills in Alberta.

I prefer Lake Louise! Much better, I think!

Well it's hard to compare a hill to a mountain :P But as far as most of the mountains in that area go I prefer lake louise for boarding.

I was toying with going to one of the Banff destinations this year (LL & SV in particular out of the 3) and was disappointed to see the lack of ski in/ski out accomodations.  I guess there is some rule about having them because Banff is a park.  I just can't seem to see myself going there with these kinds of restrictions, it's too bad too as they look phenomenal.

Glad to see this thread Brammer, my wife and I are planning some type of spring backcountry trip in this general area (probably revelstoke, definitely powder highway somewhere so a bit over the hill from banff) and we're completely overwhelmed by the amount of ski-touring, hut, cat and heli operations out there.  Anyone have any experience to point me in the right direction here?
