Ummm, I think Angry Midget Yo can help you with that... for a small fee...

Unfortunately he's talking about the other kind of hard nut.  LOL

You can try Kroil or PB Blaster, they sell for fairly cheap.
Sessions sucks hairy monkey balls, the end.

Also, impacts work better than just trying to muscle them off, which usually shears them. Try an impact driver or gently rapping an old wrench. This is after soaking them with PB Blaster.

Hey, I am a beginner in skateboarding. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good starting board?

What style of board do you like, popsicle, football, classic 80's pig, longboard?

Has anyone skated one of the Santa Cruz reissue boards?  Are they as good as the originals?

Any good skate shops (that aren't mall shops) in the Bay Area?  I miss Go-Skate and Gremic.

Since this is a snowboarding site and a skateboard thread if you haven't tried a Carver skateboard I recommend getting on one with the C7 or CX truck...try the C7 first. They are incredibly fun to ride.

No, but I picked up a Santa Cruz Salba tiger on Friday and started riding again.

Girlfriend just bought me a Hosoi hammerhead deck with independent trucks, and reds. I was getting some wheel bite, so I put risers under the trucks and it rides like a dream. It's a heavier board, but not nearly as heavy as I thought it would be. I've wanted this deck for 28 years and now I have it :)

Another skating related note: I don't know if this is anywhere else, but I currently live in Palo Alto and I've seen tons of d-bags riding these electric longboards. Seriously, how lazy does someone have to be to buy one of these things? Most look like they don't have the balance to kick and ride because the people I've seen do not look comfortable riding, and these boards cost $600-700. Some tech/SV people are strange.

the majority of people will never "get" skateboarding.  "back in the day" it was the whole idea that we're hoodlums up to no good.  now, it's people who DO skate, but completely miss what skateboarding actually is.. hence electric longboards, douchebags skating period, etc.

stoked you picked up that hosoi deck.  never too late!

I'm an unhip guy.

put together an old clip from 2012... my friend Ryan bombed this hill from the top (the second half is all you see here) and almost died at the bottom at full speed. not the most perfect footage due to point and shoot cam in low light with brightening in post, but you can see it. love this guy.

It's a no-go, SeƱor, the House is not putting any money into having staff support this site and most of the mods are no longer here.  Good old )(nfinit)( still makes the rounds to pop the spammers but that's really about it.

I would give the system a try on a split board but still think I would prefer touring on skis but I have never tried a splitboard. http://www.buckmans.com/http://www.buckmans.com/
