Tendonitis in my left ankle, along side a broken bone from a few years back.
Renewed some right knee pain from an old motocross injury, and fractured my tailbone on a rock hiding under some pow. Didn't cut my season short, but sure made the last few weeks of it laborious..... |

Ouch! What a depressing thread haha. Last year I broke my collar bone off one of the kickers? That shit hurt and it pretty much ended my season. I put in about 10 days before it happened.
Cool thing was I had insurance on my season pass...and I got a full refund for it! |

no serious injuries from this season except for minor soreness and cramps from regular riding, 2 seasons ago took a nasty fall off a trojan horse jib & buckle off to the side and slammed upside down onto may rib cage no fractures just ended up with some bruising and swelling.

Lower back spasm and spine misalignment on my L4/L5 from a previous work injury that put me on the shelf and killed most of my season. Rehabbed it enough to do some boarding this year.

Bruised tailbone, partially torn rotator cuff, non-displaced fracture of left humorus bone. I kept riding. Sometimes with a sling, sometimes without. Advil does wonders.

No injuries but then again didn't even get to try much since there was no pow to cushion the fall.

Broke a bone in my foot in March, not snowboarding related, but it kept me from the last week of riding this year.

Did a full on scorpion going around 30mph... I think I tore something.
I did ride on it the next day... hurt like hell but I pushed through... It still hurts today (1 month later). |

I think you may need to get it checked out before it permanently damages you for good.

Bombed a choppy trail way too fast at the start of the season and sprained my front ankle. Screwed up my progression for most of the season.

Blew my left knee out for the 4th time. Had surgery in early January. Worked hard and was able to get a few days in the last few weeks.

first season in a while in which i didn't take any time off for injury. i did dislocate my shoulder for the second time, but i was back at it 3 days later which was the next time i was gonna ride anyway. wore my brace for the rest of the season and it was fine.. feels better now but i need to do physical therapy again.
last year i almost broke my back and took a break for a couple days, and then i tore the MCL in my knee and was out for the rest of the season as of mid-january. year before that, i needed about a week off when i hurt my back. tweaked it bad or something and i kept seizing up one day. year before that i dislocated my shoulder (1st time) and was out for 9 days before i had to go back out.. it was dumping and there was pow to be ridden. wasn't supposed to go back for about 6 weeks but i rode with my immobilizing brace inside my jacket. that was interesting, but worth it. it was nice to not have been held back by injury this year, although the first couple days after i popped my shoulder out again, i went real mellow.

I was boarding at Sunpeaks just standing at the side of a run talking on an empty slope and an old skier ran right into me a ski on either side of my board. I broke my finger and ripped the tendon from the bone. I've only just got it out of the cast. Now I have to try to bend it. It hurts more now than when I broke it.

I also screwed up my finger. I was at the top of the hill turned my board to go downhill and just fell down. Apparently you can still break a finger by falling while barely moving though. Didn't really cut my season short but I figure it's so lame it's funny.

First day of the season I landed on my ass onto ice, about a 5-foot drop off a jump. Landed on one ass cheek instead of square on the tailbone, and ended up with some soft tissue damage in my ass cheek and hip. Kept on riding and tore my MCL the same day.
That put me out a good 2 months or so, then I promptly sprained my ankle on my return to the slopes. Back to rehab... Still not fully healed but good enough to get several good days of riding late in the season, but I feel like I'm just barely getting back into the groove I was in at the end of last season. |

Thats a rough day. You escaped the horrible tail bone injury, but hey, you cant escape them all. I am happy my wrist is feeling great this year. I messed it up good couple years back. I think I fractured it, but I never got it checked out. |

I was lucky I didn't damage my tailbone but sitting down was torture for a good 3-4 weeks. I definitely feel your pain there. I also have a wrist issue that shows up every once in a while but at least it doesn't keep us from riding! |

DANG you should really be careful on the slopes man. Sucks that you accumulated some injures, but at least it didn't END your season. |

Hyper extended my elbow playing indoor ultimate frisbee.. That put me in a sling for a good 3 weeks but still went boarding with it out of the sling once before i was released..
still here to talk about it so i guess it was worth it Edit: i also bruised my knee cap one of the last good days of the year when i smashed my knee on a rock in the glades... didnt miss anything for it but she's still tender |

Concussion. don't really remember how I fell and it's probably a black hole in my memory bank visually, long story short I fell off a 180 ft box and i think turned my neck,
according to my friend I was conscious the whole day but I just don't have any recollection. yes I was wearing a helmet.

i got lace bite first on my left foot, then my right. caused by my ice hockey skates, and it caused some mild discomfort in my snowboarding boots. Now i have to wear little gel inserts to prevent it from getting worse.

I've had that before from my hockey skates, not very much fun. I, too, got some gel inserts to put inside the tongues of my skates. They work. |

The season's not over for me yet, but so far so good. My shoulder still acts up once in awhile from a major crash a couple years ago, but I've only had butt plants lately and my impact shorts worked well even when I landed on the edge of a box.

I ended my season on the 3rd day I went out. It was some very icy hard-pack that I came down on and from the height on my launch and my lack of experience, just was too much. It was like jumping from a 2 story roof while moving. I ended up with a level 3 shoulder separation on the left, swelling in the bicep and tricep, bruising throughout the pec muscle and shoulder and I had a similar injury to my hip. That has not been diagnosed because I originally thought it was just sore from the landing. I am having in examined soon. The shoulder is at 90%, I can workout again with limited restriction, except for heavy weight. The hip still bothers me a lot and would probably be at 70%. After 4.5 months its been a long road, lots of rehab and painkillers, and my collar bone looks a tad off permanently.
