I'm glad the Steelers haven't been performing "up to par" this season. Hellz yes for Hasselbeck beating Rapelesberger and Co.

Houston and Atlanta both will be working to remain undefeated this weekend. Houston hosts GB and ATL hosts Oakland. GB surely isn't playing up to par this year either, but neither is a gimme game. Was hoping they might play each other some time this season, but no such luck! As a whole i think Houston is better than Atlanta, but they're both really fun teams to watch.

Mildly surprised, disappointed, slightly shocked...a few things that come to mind when watching some games. Games can come down to a matter of inches on certain plays so it only takes a few going the wrong way and any team can be in trouble.

Couldve gone to the Texans game this Sunday but I have to work :(
Hopefully we can pull through without Cushing for the rest of the season

If the Niners win tomorrow, it'll feel ok. It won't replace what happened in the playoffs.
is it just me? or is common sense not that common.

Nope, that's a day that will live in infamy.  I've heard an inordinate number of NY fans around the Bay Area badmouthing the Niners, so I really hope they get what's coming to them.

i don't think i'd care either way...i just can't wait for a GOOD game, none of the ones where we literally pound teams into pulp like we have recently
also, i care that we MAKE It to the playoffs and are seeded well. we NEEDED that week off against the saints and we'll NEED that week off against whoever we come up against...so if NYG is in the way of us then yes, i want to see us beat them and win that game

i also want either justin or aldon smith to eat eli manning.

Upset that Eagles blew that game and gave the Lions a comeback win. I just hope the Redskins can hold onto their lead and win that game.

Who lit a spark under the Jets' ass today?! Minnesota (surprisingly) had been playing damn well to this point in the season, but they looked foolish this afternoon.
Can't believe CLeveland either! THey hadn't won a regular season game since November 20, 2011, I can't remember the last time Cleveland beat Cincy either (after looking it up... Oct 3, 2010 is the answer). Way to put the skid to an end, and they have Indy followed by SD coming up.. Could put a nice lil streak together.

in the ARI/BUF game, Kevin Kolb just got taken out due to an injury. He's been sacked 23 times in the last 3 games.. With a lack of an O line, im shocked they're able to keep any game close.

dude, not even close. we had a "perfect game" going and the game basically HINGED on one play...hell, we technically would've benefited if that player didn't show up but THIS IS NOT THE case this game. not even close.

Giants are owning the 49ers. I'm kinda surprised the scores are this lopsided.

Seriously... Niners looked good in the first quarter, but then just dropped the ball. Alex 3 interceptions?! and putting in colin for that stretch is just gonna make controversy saying the coaching staff lost trust in alex which is understandable but still. This game just made me sick. Williams on kickoff was running lateral instead of up and down. We lost control of the game which made us pass which made us predictable.

i think this loss is good...because we're back to being the permanent underdogs

we're not as good as we thought we were and the fact that we BASICALLY didn't show up proves it :/

sure, we have "it" in us but...we didn't show up on today's game...and clearly not worth the limelight we were given

I really don't know what to think of this season so far. Definitely Any Given Sunday type play so far.  I'm really enjoying the parity.

All the questions surrounding Rodgers and Nelson should subside for at least a week.

Devastated the Raiders couldn't pull the upset over Atlanta

Stop being cute Harbaugh!  Leave Alex in.  Don't bring Kaep in to break the rhythm.  Not that that would have made any difference today.  Niners just didn't want it.  Better turn that around before Thursday or suddenly they're going to start looking like the Raiders.

So wait, I'm confused.  Looking back at this thread, I was under the impression that Alex Smith had developed into some sort of god among men.  And yet, 3 picks and only 3 points at home yesterday.  So much for that revenge game.

^ The mighty have fallen... again (howzabout that SF - Minny game a few weeks ago?).

Frank Gore killed my FF team yesterday, the dirty bastard.

^ Jordy Nelson murdered my team.  I was right on the way to 5-1, moving into first place.  Then he scored 30 points.

I am very happy about the thumping the Giants put on SF.  Was nice to finally see the defense play up to it's potential and the pass rush finally come alive.  Don't like all the settling for FGs on offense though.

Niners with a weak pass rush. You can't give a QB all day to throw. Especially Eli Manning. And wasn't to thrilled about the 2 QB system.
is it just me? or is common sense not that common.

Apparently the Packers spent more time looking at the game film and less looking at commercial scripts for a change. If you played Aaron Rodgers in FF, you probably lost.

The Patriots are feast or famine this year, its crazy. 6 trips to the red zone without a TD

Cushing being out was not even close to the primary reason Houston got throttled yesterday. Even with Cushing, the Texans' running game would've been completely shut down. Foster had no chance to break out big runs, which, similar to the SF game yesterday, forced Houston into mostly predictable passing situations. If you can't surprise a defense, you (generally) can't beat it. Nevertheless, Houston has some film to review now and work on what DIDN'T work yesterday. Though, with Baltimore's defense, next week may not look all that more promising.

haha..the 9ers fans want to believe that alex smith is a top tier qb that wins games..but, when the running game isn't working, we see how he carried the team with the passing game...or lack thereof.

^^ Yea, I bought way too much Alex Smith stock.  Dang, what a year!

What I want to know is, why isn't there more talk of Tommy Brady's struggles.  I can hear them all day.

I have nothing against the Niners but I'm glad they lost just to shut up the annoying bandwagon fans around here. They dogged Smith his first few years (especially when Aaron Rogers was so good) and then got all up on his nutsack when Harbaugh turned him into a competent QB.

With a good D and running game I think he's easily good enough to win it all, but he isn't Montana.

Brady is scared of getting hit. Ducks as soon as he feels pressure. I hope the Jets light him up next week.

What a terrible week 6 for me. Went 3-10 so far with Den/SD left. It's gonna be tough to climb back. Need a big week 7.

Yeah, i went 4-9 and picked SD for tonight's game. I could've been 6-7 (still awful.. but better lol) but i went against my gut with 2 picks. The best person in our league went 9-4. Rough, just rough.

what's really horrible is the cowboys...came back with a chance to win the game..and couldn't run a play with time left on the clock..then the kicker misses a makeable fg...at least spike the ball to get a couple more plays in instead of running the clock...epic fail by romo and jason garrett...did they forget to do the 2-min drill in camp/practice?

Yah! I saw him on the sidelines in the 4th quarter but wondered what happened... Complete triceps tear sounds BRUTAL!
Add to that Ladarius Webb tearing his ACL and being done for the season, and that defense is in shambles.
"Baltimore's defense ranks 23rd against the pass and has allowed a brutal 200-plus yards on the ground two weeks running.".. Things might not look so bad for run-heavy Houston next week afterall.

that's true, 49ers "popularity" is gonna plummet after this...
it's only one game and i hope this puts things in perspective for everyone, INCLUDING the 49ers organization that we're NOT as good as we thought we were...

it's okay, i liked being an underdog anyway...

If the Bronco's win tonight there will only be 2 teams in the AFC with winning records. It's been a crazy year in football...

at this pace, they need to look into not having teams w/ losing records hosting playoff games...so it won't happen again..

Harbaugh's Niners have a history of bouncing back after a loss.  Should I put money on them for this Thursday's game against the Seahawks?

Am I the only one that got screwed out of a victory in fantasy football when Eric Decker decided to fall down instead of jogging 30 yards into the endzone?

Wow, went through a roller coaster of emotions on last nights game. In the end it was a fun game to watch, but damn the Broncos know how to raise ones blood pressure.

WHAT THE (#)%* happened in that game yesterday?! I was at the gym and doing my warm ups when i saw SD was up 24-0 when it went to half time. Did my circuit training class, and when that was through, didn't feel like turning the game back on cuz I really didn't think it'd be worth watching. When i finally got home, i checked the final score and did a double take. Saw Rivers' "4 INT" stat and immediately thought "yeah, that makes sense." I'm with you MJ2 in that he weirds me out as well.. and only he could sabotage his own sure victory like that. Well done, PR!

Man that was a fun game to watch!  I was so sad in the first half, almost turned the game off.  Then jumping up and down all second half.  This is what it's all about!
