Carroll finally beat Harbaugh in the NFL. All good. Shake it off, rub some dirt on it, and stay hungry.

yeah... that niners game was ugly... but what can I say, Lynch was a beast, Wilson was great and the niners looked terrible. The manningham injury didn't make the situation easier.

Niners are already in the playoffs. That defense looks way different without Justin Smith. A bunch of key injuries for them right now. I just hope they're healthy for the playoffs.

Big win by the Vikings over Houston, now the Broncos just need a win by Indianapolis over Houston and they'll have the first seed, Woot Woot.

It was only ugly if you're a fan of the team in the bay area ;). I happen to live in the grand ole northwest and couldn't have been more happy! Kaepernick was completely out of his element in the madhouse that is Centurylink Field. And the quick 21-0 lead Seattle took made that crowd even louder. Awesome showing though. 150-30 in a 3 game stretch.. very impressive.

Suddenly a bunch of people I know who were singing the praises of Kaep are squealing for Alex to come back. Watching guys watch football is very amusing.

neither player plays defense...so i don't think the qb play was what lost the game for the 49ers. russel wilson and the run game looked like they were playing against the practice squad. defense lost the game..you can't expect the offense to keep up like that unless you have a drew or peyton or aaron on your qb list.

They would have lost with either QB. Davis and manningham left with injuries.

It's gonna be tough for AP to break Dickerson's record now going up against Green Bay. Was hoping he'd be over the 100 yd rushing in Houston to set him up for the last week.

I'd agree with that. Even with the very talented QBs listed above, if a defense allows numbers like that, it's EXTREMELY hard to win. I believe Smith might've been more productive with the offensive side of the ball, namely as he's played in that stadium before, but it still wouldn't have been enough.
9ers still have pretty good odds to wrap up the division title this weekend, and I'm glad the Hawks will be in the playoffs either way.

True Story.  It's fitting that the ol' Bungles beat the stealers for the playoff berth.  Good win for them.

Now, for the guy that Dalton beat in the Rose Bowl a few years back: Russel Wilson is playing out of his mind right now.  Talk about a "value" pick in the 3rd round!

I think they'll feed him the ball like crazy though just to help him break the record.
Maybe 30+ carries.....

i hope the Packers lay down in this game & give the starters a break. More than anything to keep the worthless bears out of the playoffs.

Pro Bowl voting is a bit of a sham, but it gives the fans their say I suppose.

Jeff Saturday is obviously not worthy of playing in an all star game but so many players make it on past performances and reputation.

The Pro Bowl is an abomination, they just need to get rid of the game all together. Especially now that they moved it to the week before the superbowl, great idea having the game with a good part of the players missing because there playing in the superbowl.

yeah, the pro bowl makes no sense being before the superbowl. in theory, the superbowl teams would have many of the pro bowl players. and they wouldn't participate if they're in the superbowl. so you'll get a bunch of 2nd rate pro bowlers playing in the game. and nobody wants to get hurt, so it's not even a good game to watch. i liked it more when it was after the super bowl so all of the players voted in will show. and maybe they should just play flag football instead of tackle football...

I actually kinda like the flag football idea! Given, putting the game back AFTER the Superbowl is a much better idea, but hell, the NFL season lasts until February anyway now. Maybe the bigwigs upstairs thought we might be a little offput to see a game in march lol.

The thing I liked the most about it being after the Superbowl other than obvious all the players being there, is that it was almost like a taste of Summer on the way. Its nice to see how warm it is in Hawaii, and realize spring break is getting close. I love boarding, but I love warm summer nights just about as much.

All the Chiefs players except Berry have a strong case for being there at least. They should definitely move the game back to after the superbowl it seems to have really deteriorated in recent years but in saying that look at any other all star game, they're all played in fun to put on a show instead of a serious contest so it's silly to expect anything else from NFL players.

Enough talk for a game that doesn't matter. Sean Payton agrees to a 5 year extension with the saints... I thought he couldn't be in contact with the saints all season.

Until you get a person in the Pro Bowl who behaves like Pete Rose and will take out anyone to secure a win.

Cmon Niners and Vikings. Want the Vikings to beat GB and The Niners to beat AZ so Niners can have the 2 seed. That way Justin Smith has more time to heal with the bye week. We need him.

Reading playoff scenarios. It's crazy that Seattle can still get a 1st round bye if GB and SF lose. That replacement ref game still lingers.

Let's Go Packers, haha. Hate hearing myself say that, but really need them to come through with a win to get my Bears in. Truthfully I don't think we would do much in the playoffs.

Hell of a close game! 24 - 27 with Vikings leading. This is too intense to know your teams chance of getting into the playoffs is in the hands of another team.

Peterson with another big game today, 199 yds 2 tds. He just came up short by 8 yards of tying the record! Who would've thought he'd have that kind of year after an ACL and MCL tear? No doubt he's the comeback player of the year.

Peyton might get that, which is understandable. Though I'd vote for Peterson for MVP and comeback player. Dude's a beast.

My Giants came up short, but they didn't deserve the playoffs anyway, lets go Seahawks, Vikes, Texans and Ravens next weekend.

idk, could be a toss up imo. I guess both teams wouldn't be where they are had it not been for each player having big years.

I think Peterson is a little more deserving than Manning. Tougher division, and carried team to the playoffs. While Manning has a better and healthier team with a better coach.

Id agree AP deserves it more than Manning. Manning has indeed had a great season, but what AP (almost) did is undeniably stellar.

I was torn with the Redskins Cowboys game tonight. While I enjoy not seeing Romo & Co. in the playoffs, I feel Seattle would fare better against them in the first round than they will against RGIII. Seattle's (lack of a) pass rush i feel will  ultimately be their enemy, and the skins seem better equipped to pick that flaw apart. The way Seatown's offense struggled today would make me worry either way. Still lookin forward to that matchup next week! :D

Niners! The major hurdle for them would be Akers. Especially since Justin Smith isn't 100%. We he can't keep missing FGs.

Yes it should be a good game, there isn't a team in the playoffs that should be overlooked (in the NFC).  I am pretty sure the Packers can get the win in Green Bay, I hope.
