And on the other end of the spectrum, the Bronocs have the easiest schedule for the 2013/2014 season. Being in one of the worst divisions is the NFL helps. That easy schedule should make for another playoff run for the Broncos & Mr. Manning.

I guess that was part of the reason to go to the Broncos. Pad the stats.

If i remember correctly the broncos had the first or second hardest strength of schedule last season so maybe a reprieve?

they had the hardest preseason rating but it turned out to be one of the easier ones towards the end.

Broncos have the AFC West locked down. It's harder to predict who's coming in 2nd in that division.

You never know who's going to be good this early in the year. After free agency and the draft you get a better idea of the potential playoff teams. Still, I can't see peyton not making the playoffs.

The benefit of being in one of the worst divisions in the NFL. All it takes is one team to slightly rise above the stench of the other teams to make the playoffs. :-)

It is being reported that the Saints have hired Rob Ryan as their defensive coordinator. Big mistake on their part. The guy is nothing but a loud mouth who never produces. Wonder how long it will take the Saints to fired.

With the Vikings looking to trade Harvin, Ponder would be hating this by the way, and the Patriots reportedly interested would it mean Harvin in and Welker out?

Niners might be interested. Moss might not return, Manningham had a bad injury, etc.

Was this in response to something? Seems completely out of context with the rest of what's going on. Or is this just some latent Packer boohoo-ery?

it was just a random response since I'm UCLA grad and hate USC and all the cheating they did. plus how seahawks won the controversial TD with the replacement refs and the coach denied that it was a bad call.

VIck for another season could work though if Kelly implements some of his offense from Oregon.

If Harvin does go to the Pats he'd put up huge numbers and would be electrifying to watch

I'm sorry but vick for another year means a 6-8 win season. I'd rather see nick foles, at least it's only 3.5 million if we cut him.

With the recent success of run orientated quarterback play I'd like to see Vick be given a chance in a similar offense. He can sling it and is by far the most athletic QB I've ever seen

only a self-proclaimed one Wink

on another note, we're definitely looking for a new receiver...so we won't have to look for a new kicker because akers DEFINITELY still has the legs but it's just his mind that's shot.

Akers was dealing with some injury issues, but I still think some confidence is lost.

you got your wish..vick restructured his contract to a 1-year deal. he'll do well in chip kelly's system..but he has to stay on the field to get paid in the new contract.

indeed, he was definitely able to show-up cundiff in practice...it's when he's on the field that it's shaky as f***!
i believe in akers...for the 13-14 season, lol. i just wish he was his 2011 self because he was KILLING IT that season!

well, lets look at it THIS way...

do we need a shaky kicker, who we can develop but NO ONE CAN TAKE HIS PLACE, or do we need a receiver, that we can work with and develop while ALSO passing to crabtree/davis/gore/williams/hunter/LA MICHAEL JAMES (his future looks promising, just gotta work on that ball handling!!!), to maximize CK's potential?

unless we can get some good trades, im leaning toward that receiver ;D

Umm, how bout both. We get more than one draft pick. And there's this thing called free agency. It's about putting the 11 best on the field.

How much cap room do the niners have? Maybe they go after welker, he would be perfect for kaps.

I agree with going for a receiver or two makes sense.  I trading james and crabtree to get value trades seems like a good idea.

Is Boldin serious about retiring if he can't get the contract he wants?

I am amazed at his performance this year and would love to see him on the niners.

He has played in the NFL for 10 years, which is a pretty good run for a wide receiver. Along the way he has been reasonably healthy & wouldn’t be surprised if he walked away. It’s a nice way to leave the NFL when players can depart on their own terms as a healthy human being & enjoy all of that cash that they made!

When a player says he will retire if he doesn't get to stay with a team that is a perfect example of a sportsman who has been responsible with their money. He obviously doesn't need any more money and would love to stay on the team he just won a superbowl with.

Damn, johnny Knox is gonna retire early. Having serious back problems. He was a good up and coming player. Sucks when an athlete has to retire early cuz of injury.

I was absolutely amazed that his back was not broken! I remember watching that game and i thought he was done right then and there. It's unbelievable what the human body can go through sometimes.

Dennis Dixon signed with the Eagles on a 2 year deal. With this signing I think it's obvious Kelly is going to implement his spread offense and hopefully with either Dixon or Vick running it it will be exciting to watch. I see Foles as clearly the odd man out now

I agree!!! Teams have been revamping their logos lately and to me there has been very little difference from the old logos to the new logos. The Panthers for example. You know they are spending big bucks to some design consultant for the ‘new’ logos too. Then again NFL teams have money to burn.

UGH! I watched that game, but I missed that somehow. That is an absolutely brutal collision. I guess the silver lining is the new health care/retirement agreements recently reached between the players association and the NFL should keep him cared for.

Not a fan of the new Panthers logo. Looks like something that would find its way to a model of a car, not an NFL jersey. Ah well, can't please everyone, i suppose!

Titus young signed and released from the Rams very promptly he must be the biggest brat ever.

With Amedola now not likely to be retained by the Rams and Welker not franchised by the Pats there is three good slot guys available, I included Harvin. This will surely bring down the value of Welker as the Pats I think could slot Amendola in there for less money and get the same production
