That was a hell of a game tonight... But McAaron's touchdown pass to win it was too pretty. perfect protection perfect ball perfect catch. Alabama has every right to play in this next game!

Notre Dame has been playing great! Alabama has a good offense, but i think Notre Dame's offense will take alabama's defense.

Honestly, this title game seems a little boring to me. I recognize that both teams are very talented, but I guess I'm just tired of Alabama, and never liked watching Notre Dame play. That being said, I think Bama is going to take the national title over Notre Dame without much struggle. The Rose Bowl game seems more appealing in my eyes.

NIU should not have got a BCS game and probably should have been Oklahoma and i hate the sooners. This is why this system is so messed up.

I think this year more than others, both teams have a good chance in the game.
There are A LOT of teams that shouldn't be in BCS bowls, including Wisconsin, even though they are a good team and Penn State and Ohio State deserved their postseason ban. I don't know what to make of most of these bowls. It seems like a really weak lineup overall. And I can't believe Louisiana Tech turned down a bowl birth, thinking they were getting into a better one.

Why would Wisconsin's coach head to a middle of the pack SEC school when he's been dominating the Big 10? He'll end up regretting that one.

Florida is the #3 team and they got a BCS bowl bid. What #3 team are you talking about?
Hey that's the FAMOUS Idaho Potato bowl to you. Any game that has a point spread that I can bet on and wins me money is not meaningless in any way. Thanks Utah St. Oh and speaking of Utah St... Congrats to a certain board member's uncle. Moving up to the big time and taking the Wisconsin job. GOOD LUCK!!!

The Rose bowl is a bore. Wisconsin is good this year. Not great, but good. And a 3rd place (and I'll add "unranked) Big10 team against Stanford is kindof a joke. Wisconsin plays good defense, but Furd's frontline is just beastly. The Cardinal should win that one outright.
I think they would have, had they not ended the season on that 2-game skid Utah State and San Jose State obviously saw something in the film to help figure the offense out (not a whole lot, but enough to grab the W). Would they have defeated LA Monroe? Probably. And the underdog is seldom rewarded in the BCS, so they should have taken what they were offered. |

La Tech was going to go to a better bowl, but when NIU jumped into the BCS it screwed everything up. Oklahoma was moved to a non bcs bowl and then from all the fallout, La Tech missed their chance. The losses didn't hurt them it was NIU going to a BCS game that caused their problems. |

I think they have a chance. I am betting heavily against them, but you could have said the same thing about the Nebraska game and look what happened. If their offense clicks like that, and they can get a few 3 and outs on Defense, they can score some real points that Stanford may struggle with challenging. Stanford isn't unbeatable. Wisconsin is just as likely to get lucky as Washington did.

The Huskies were a much more formidable team at home. and Stanford's only losses this season came by a 4-pt loss to UW in Seattle, and a 7-point, low-scoring bout at ND. Given, the Rose Bowl is not TECHNICALLY a home game, but it's a considerably shorter trip for Cardinal fans than for Badgers.
I try not to rule anyone out, as it's college football and anything can happen on any given Sunday. But the odds are gonna be long against Wisc. |

Way to take out LSU, Clemson! Awesome game!
The Granddaddy of them all is lookin pretty decrepit this year... Wisconsin MIGHT put on a show, but we all know they don't really deserve to be there. |

Amazing day of football!!
The South Carolina-Michigan game was crazy. The hit Jadeveon Clowney put on Vincent Smith was just absulutely ridiculous. Georgia/Nebraska was a shootout, the Miss St-Northwestern game wasn't that bad and the Rose Bowl turned out to be decent. Not an offensive battle, but still ok. I'd personally like to thank all the Vegas sharps who pounded Wisconsin before the game knocking Stanford down from -6.5 to -4 and allowing me to sneak in with the cover. I'd also like to thank Michigan for preventing an otherwise useless 2 point conversion with 11 seconds left and covering the +5.5. I cleaned up today!!!

I really felt bad for NIU after watching their matchup with FSU. That offensive line was so throughly outmatched (read: outsized), and any time a receiver was open down field, the QB couldn't get it anywhere close. Pair that with their coach quitting on em before the season was officially "over", and it just makes for a rough going.
In case any of you missed it (I did :( ), here's the hit by Jadeveon Clowney that 360 mentioned: (gif courtesy usatoday) ![]() |

The stars definitely aligned for that to fall into his lap. It's not often a new coach gets to take over a team that just played in the Rose Bowl and isn't a complete rebuilding project.

The best part about that big hit was that the South Carolina D had just gotten screwed out of a 4th down stop. The ref called a first down for Michigan even though there was CLEARLY room between the ball and the pole. Ball never lies...

That officiating crew should be fired for that shit! That ball was a good 3" short of the marker. But kudos to the SC defense (namely Clowney) for not giving up after getting bent over. The hit, and subsequent fumble recovery were nothing short of stellar.
Really looking forward to the Oregon, K State game tonight. I'll be watching part of it from the gym, as I need to get back in my workout routine. I am totally routing for K State, and it could be a very good matchup, as both teams have had a heap of time to prepare. That said, I think the time off benefits the Ducks a bit more, as it's really hard to train to keep up with the tempo of their offense, if you don't have people who can simulate it for a full 60 minutes. |

I think Oregon takes the game tonight by at least 10 points. K-State played Baylor which has a high powered offense and could not keep up with them. The Ducks will come out victorious.

K State certainly had their opportunities last night, but couldn't get anything rolling consistently. The Ducks defense was just better prepared for the game. While I'm not a Duck fan, I really enjoyed the look on faces of K State fans in the crowd after the opening kickoff return for a TD. It had this element of "Oh God. Please don't let the whole game be like this" lol.

If you take away Collin Klein's running game he's not a good enough QB to keep the offense moving. He can hit the underneath throws but once you force him to throw down field you know K-State is in trouble.

If college football had the playoffs this year, Oregon would have ended as the champions. I don't think either ND or Alabama can stop that Ducks offense.

Your SEC bias is unwavering, CDS. That game was 2 seasons ago, and just as Auburn is a much different team than at that time, so is UO. But as long as we're on the aged argument train, Auburn also beat Bama that year, in Tuscaloosa no less. So by your logic, Bama sucks too. |

You must not watch much college football if you think the Oregon team from 2 years ago and this years teams have anything to do with each other. Do you think Auburn could beat Oregon this year. If you do, you're an idiot.

^^ Not only was the comment facepalm worthy, but it's the same as the GOAT problem. Will LeBron be better than Jordan? Is Tiger better than Jack?
It's impossible to tell if someone or some team is better or worse than anyone else that they can't actually meet up in the field of competition mano y mano.
but wow... that comment hit a new level right there.

Aggies vs. Sooners tonight..in a matchup of old Big12 opponents. Too bad OU is always bad at the bowl games, it's going to give SEC another win over the Big12. But, how did a middle-of-the pack Big12 team become a powerhouse in the SEC in 1 year? Maybe the Big12 is actually that good...and the SEC is overrated?

He could be the first to win the Heisman twice. He's amazing. To have a month off from playing a game and come out with a performance like that is quite amazing.

That was a very wise decision. I am really bummed I'm gonna have to miss the second half of tonight's game! I have a college course in the evenings that starts TODAY at 7 pm PT. I'll watch the first half, and i guess just get updates on my phone after that.. sob story! GO IRISH! |

Well, ND is looking like the ND they always were, haha. Kinda sad. Was rooting for them since they were underdogs. But they look like they shouldn't even be in this bowl game right now.
