Im buying a new board this season and i have narrowed it down to the burton sherlock and superhero. I am just looking for some opinions which one is overall better and why it is better. ( I dont want any other boards brought up unless it is a burton but i would prefer one of the two of these.)

the sherlock is more of your all mountain freestyle pow board. the super hero is more of your all around park and mountain-if-you-prefer-it board. the rocker profile on the sherlock is a little more aggressive for people who still want the float and fun, but with a little more edge control/grip as well as pop from the cambered areas. the super hero has flat top which is flat in the middle and rockers up after the bindings. it is looser and more tuned for jib-style riding or people who just like a loose, easy ride.
the sherlock is generally a more aggressive ride (not to say it's super stiff or anything crazy) and the super hero is more of a medium-soft/playful style. not exactly two boards that fall into the same category, but could be used for the same riding depending on the rider's preference. what lead you to these two choices in the first place?

the super hero's rocker profile will give it a different feel than the regular hero with v-rocker. it's hard to say exactly what the difference is. personally, vrocker is my least favorite profile. i find that it swivels in the middle too much and was just a little too loose overall and too easy to unweight the tips. not too bad though. i had an 09 hero. then with flat top, it's just like capita's FK and a few others which are flat in the middle and rocker up after the bindings like i said. i would expect this to feel more loose because the tips are lifted at all times, but i actually like it more than v-rocker. it gives you a solid, stable platform under/between your feet and i liked the way it rode overall. kinda felt like skateboarding because your control is right in that flat section under your feet.
you may like the super hero. i would only suggest the sherlock if you are looking to get a stiffer board with a little more aggressiveness to the profile as stated before, and also if you plan to ride a good amount of fresh snow.

i'm a huge fan of the sherlock. So much that I own 2, a 160 and a 157. In my humblest of opinions, its one of the best boards burton has made.. and if somebody stole it, id go out and buy it again. I wouldnt call either size stiff, but for reference, im 5 foot 11, and 190 lbs. It goes from park to groomers to chop no problem, and takes on powder with so much fun and ease..it's an absolute blast. It does everything I want it to do..and effortlessly. Easily my go to board for all mountain. The superhero is definitely a softer flexing board, and more at home in the park imo..and the camber profile of the sherlock makes it more encompassing and versatile. If you're looking for an all mountain do whatever i want wherever i want board, I would highly recommend the sherlock from your two choices.
