Goggles advice

I just recently reached the free goggles mark and I've narrowed down to some choices that I wanna get.  They are:

1) Electric EG2
2) Vonzipper Feenom
3) Vonzipper Fishbowl
4) Anon Comrade
5) Spy Platoon

What I'm looking for is the highest field of vision, fog proof, and fit.  Which of these would be the best bang for the buck from you guys experiences?  And are there others that you'd like to recommend?  Any suggestions/feedback will be appreciated.

Yeah definitely try them out. I like the EG2 personally because of the small frame and the field of vision. But if you think you're face is pretty small and you're afraid you'll look like a bug, check out the Electric EG2.5 which is pretty much a smaller version.

VZ Feenoms work great for me and I have a big melon. - size 7 3/4.

Fogging up doesn't ever seem to be an issue. Great field of vision. Not too bulky.


The fact that I never think about them when riding is a testament to how good they perform.

I just picked up a pair of Feenoms with my 1500 point bonus.... pretty excited as I've wanted them since I spotted the "Bob Marley" colorway last season.

I'll be flip flopping these with my EG2s.  Although i love my eg's i feel at times they are just a little too big.  Occasionally i feel pressure on my nose from my helmet pressing down on the goggle.  I too have a large melon (7 3/4 fitted, XL in most helmets) so I've always been a little surprised that they did this. 

Having tried on the Feenoms at a local shop, i would compare their size to the Electric EG2.5 (wife has a pair).  Still big, and provide an excellent field of view, they just lack the super oversized look of their big brother.

Something to keep in mind on this..... although you get a 100$ off coupon for whatever non 2013 goggle you pick, your "Member discount" no longer applies.  The 100$ gets taken off of the Standard TruSnow sale price. 

For example.... My Feenoms are about 90$ with my member discount.  But by adding the promo code, they jumped to 111$.  Not that I'm complaining.... 11$ for a pair of goggs that I nearly paid 125$ for last season is a steal.

Add to that the fact that the Feenoms come with 2 lens options (low light and sunny).... I really think I made out well.

Hmm I always see EG2 for sale on Whiskey and stuff.  I've never heard anyone on here talk about any of the others except for Freenom and EG2.

^ I'm definitely a fan of Oakley Splices, have 2 pairs (had 3 but sold one) and really like the lens, comfort, fit and style.

So with the Feenom's that come with the extra lens, is that 'nightstalker blue' that you're talking about only a night type goggle? or can it be used like a yellow/persimmon for snowing,raining and generally overcast and low to flat light conditions? I was going to get the Oakley Crowbars with the Persimmon Lens (my goggles from last season with the HI Yellow lens and I don't have a single bad thing to say about them) Or would the Feenom's be a better goggle... Also I always wear a helmet too..

You should only be buying goggles in person, wearing them yourself before paying. With that said, I wear Smith I/O. They're better for fuller, more gaunt faces than mine. I think they'll fit over 80% of American males, really. The optics on Smith goggles are second to none....

I love the electric EG2 because of the size and fit. I have owned the EG1, EG1s, and EG2....and the EG2 are by far my favorite.

hah, that's silly.  basic does not equal cheap.  i used to get confused by aesthetics too, but some of those products have been the best i've ever used, and still use to this day.  they're made in japan, super flexible and form-fitting frames, cheap lenses that work as good as anything else, and the baker lenses are the only ones in the industry with that design as far as i know.  they're as high quality as anything else i have ever used, and i happen to like them more than anything else.  airblaster is also a great company to support.  it's almost more of a movement than a brand, if you ask me.

Basically you need to try them on yourself if possible. Read the reviews on them to gauge their capabilities to stay fog free but your decision should come down to what feels good one your face.

Spy Zeds come with 2 lenses and you dont owe anything else after the fact. Thats what I did atleast and it was an awesome decision. I love them
