Pet Friendly Resorts/hotels near resorts

Hey Guys....

Wondered if anyone has any experience taking pets along to resort ski areas.  If so, where did you stay, and what kind of pet amenities were offered?

I'll start off with my Home mountain of Killington.

The Chalet at Killington is very dog friendly.  Not only do they allow you to bring dogs to the hotel, but they also offer a walking service while you ride.  If your pup gets lonely, they'll let her/him hang out in the lodge area during the day.  There's also a fenced in area behind the hotel for obvious reasons....  No more splitting before the lifts stop to take the pooch for a pee.  The guys at the chalet are on it!

Don't expect 5 star rooms, it's a pet friendly ski lodge...  Common areas are great, rooms are a B- to a C+.  Some people say rooms can smell a little like dog, but in my world, that's a ton better than smelling like my riding boots.  They could use some improvement, but

You'll have to excuse me if this thread is already out there... I did search for it, probably could have searched more... but whatever.  Looking forward to hearing of other spots to bring the pup.

^ Great suggestion..... I found the Chalet thru word of mouth at K.  I was hoping to find a few spots at other mountains, so no worries about having intel on K or not.

I use http://www.bringfido.com as well to try to find places to bring the pup.... but nothing beats insider information!

Thanks for the share!  Most places are no pets allowed whenever I'm searching around for lodging so this helps.

There are a couple places in Colorado that have pet friendly rooms thankfully! People seem to just be so focused on skiing they for get about there best friends. 

^Yeah, Tahoe Inn is pet-friendly. Also, Best Western and La Quinta are also pet-friendly hotels. Most ski resorts allow dogs but I'm not sure about whether they have rooms that you could stay in overnight.

I agree that this service would make a killing.... even on a more simple level.... just a decent dog sitting/daycare service NEAR a mountain would probably make a killing.  I know I'd take advantage of it during a ski day.....

That's pretty insane. Best I've seen is that they won't freak out at the Inn when you bring your dog to a particular room.
