hmm..i'm not so sure about that sweep...people were saying the pacers were overmatched..and it took 7 games...i personally think the spurs are better than the pacers...it won't be so easy..

woooooo what a game. Tony parker, just wow. I think lebron was a little timid and needs to at least score 24 for the heat to win. rebounds and assists whatever, he needs to get his team on the board. That late 3 attempt by bosh, I really didn't like, even though he was open, he could've drove, the 3 isn't his forte. ITS GONNA BE A GOOD SERIES

LaBron had, what, 19 rebounds and 10 assists last night?  Crazy how he's really activly getting the team involved in all the right ways.

But... I completely agree with you: Chris Bosh was the Spur's best player.  He was outplayed by Miller and Bird Man last night... again.  Taking stupid shots doesn't help anyone.

/ frustrating game to watch, but it re-upped my admiration of Tim Duncan.  Guy's amazing... and 37!

The Bosh 3 near the end was pretty bad, not because he can't hit that shot, it's because there was still A LOT of time on the clock for them to get it in the paint for a higher percentage basket. But, I see that the Heat ran out of gas in the 4th quarter, probably tired from the long physical series with the Pacers. They might not have had enough in them to pound it in near the end, and settled for long range jump shots.

The Parker shot was amazing. He went through all 3 of the Miami big 3, dribbling everywhere, even getting on the floor, then releasing the ball just before the clock ran out, and making the shot. That's as clutch as you can get.

With the 2-3-2 format for the Finals, the Spurs have put themselves in a very good position to win it all, at home.

Definitely a great game.  Let's see if Miami comes out with ramped up energy after the few days off.  When they lost Game 2 to the Pacers, they just blew them out in Game 3.  But, agree with everyone else: Parker is incredible right now.  Lest we forget, he was the Finals MVP when the Spurs beat the Cleveland Lebrons.

I am already wrong with which game spurs were going to steal in Miami, but it might still be spurs in 6...or less!

Do you think this picture on the espn nba front page is going to motivate Lebron at all?

That is the definition of clutch to me. I don't consider regular shots with 10 seconds left that wins the game for their team to be clutch shots. Tony was on the floor, almost lost the ball, literally no time left and still made it. That's clutch ... Think BIG

the concentration and calm in his face really makes it for me.  Not worried about the situation just knows he needs to release it and it finding the spot on the glass to put it off of.

Just heard that George Karl is done in Denver. They've let go the GM of the year and now the Coach of the year. What is going on in Denver?

LeBron is only 2-7 for 4 points at the half.  Wade and Chalmers each chipped in 10 points.  Miami came out much stronger tonight and are holding a 5 point lead.  Second half should be good.

Edit:  Heat dominated the second half, impressive win.

Yeah but was anyone thinking the Spurs would take 2 in Miami?  They did what a team wants to do, take 1 game on the opposing team's court.  Sure, 2 would have been great but there's no way any team is going to take 2 consecutive games in Miami.

It was nice to see the rest of the heat show up. Can't say the same for the spurs minus green.

There was about a 45 second span in there that was absolutely crazy.  LaBron's ridiculous block, the drive in and kick out 3, the steal, the 2 handed jam.

This seires could be over in 5 for either team me thinks, but I'm still thinking 6.  The Spurs showed they could pick apart the Heat, and the Heat showed that they could absolutely crush the Spurs.  Which one happens more often gets the trophey.

Agreed.  Last night's game showed that anything could happen.

Heat did the same thing in Game 3 against the Pacers and Game 2 against the Bulls, all after losses.  When they turn it on, I mean really turn on the energy, it is hard for anyone to keep up.  That being said, clearly they can be vulnerable.  Game 3 is pivotal.

i honestly dont think the spurs have had the edge in either of these games yet. they really shouldnt have won game 1, miami let that one slip away. im not taking anything away from the spurs, they played solid the whole game and thats why the won whereas miami played solid for 3 quarters and terrible in the 4th so they only have themselves to blame for losing that one. game 1 was anyones but game 2 was a complete domination and that just shouldnt be happening at this level of competition. having said that, the spurs have done what they had to do and stolen a game so now its up to miami to answer back. i just dont see the spurs taking the series if they continue to play like they have been.

Maybe I saw game 2 a different way.  I didn't see it as complete domination.  I saw it as an all out assault by Miami, but the spurs answered for 3 quarters and then at the end of the 3rd and entire 4th, there was that run that buried the spurs.

I see the spurs making the adjustments necessary throughout the series and think they'll get 2 at home.

They are favored tonight by 2, which is surprising after a 19 point loss, even if that was on the road.

I agree. Game 3 is by far the biggest game in this series. Spurs big three really need to get going. If they only score 27 points combined again, this series will be over quick. Possibly could be another heat/bulls series where the heat won 4 in a row after losing game 1.

Von - I would have completely agreed with you that Duncan-Parker-Ginobli need to score more for than 27 points for the Spurs to have a chance.  Well, tonight they scored 25... and won by 36.  If you had Gary Neal and Danny Green combining for 51 points and 14 3-pointers in your office pool, congratulations.

Well, for all u people who have been talking about a complete domination in Game 2 of the spurs and how it should never be like that on a professional level. Then what do u have to say for Game 3? Miami got killed even more. Explain that

How many shots did Lebron miss? Not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, lol 4pts through 3 qtrs is just sad!

Massive game by spurs bench. Neal and Green were huge. Mostly impressed at how Kawhi Leonard was able to shutdown Lebron with strong D. I guess spurs big three don't need to carry the team when the role guys step up like that.

Kawhi leonard has done a great job in all 3 games.  Very impressive.  I saw the spurs winning at home, but by nearly 40!?

Let's see if Miami bounces back in this next one like they tend to do.

Uh...there was 2 blowouts, but only 1 by 30.  Game 2 just felt like that in the 4th quarter.  Before that (technically before the 4:30 mark in the 3rd), Spurs were answering and it looked to be a close game.

Has this every happened before for someone to get a head coaching job the year following retirement from active play?  It seems pretty amazing.  I do think Kidd is a great basketball mind and leader, so this may really work out.  Obviously the Nets were impressed to choose him while some great choices were available.  Good luck to Jason!

Spurs have some nice depth players that will no doubt be the future. Comforting to know that especially when the big 3 are aging fast and having a tough time avoiding injuries. Nice to know Tony is gonna suck it up and play tonight.

It'll be interesting to see if Miami can bounce back. But I'm sure they can since Joey Crawford will be starting for the Heat.

^ Someone needs to take Joey's whistle and shove it up his ass.  He thinks he is on stage when he's reffing a game, no one pays to see the refs.

So LeBron is promising he will be better, much better in Game 4 tonight.  "But I am the star, I am the leader."  he's modest, too...

And now UFC fighter Chael Sonnen is calling LeBron a 'dork'.  The drama of the NBA Finals continues...

i was pretty surprised by this, its pretty amazing that hes stepped into a head coaching role straight away but i guess the man sure does have the experience of playing the game. hes always been some what of a mentor on the court so with the right staff around him, i think he could be a good coach. i wonder if deron williams had a say in the final decision.

^ I thought the game was fairly close until Wade took over in the 4th quarter. Spurs had the refs on their side the whole game giving them twice as much FTs than the Heat. Take away the FTs and this game is another blowout

^ NBA players from different teams talking about playing together on the same team... why does that sound familiar?  Where have we heard that before?

LeBron lived up to his promise, scoring 33, 11 boards and just 1 turnover.  Nice of Wade to contribute with 32 points.

Ginobili has been crap so far, dude needs to wake up.

Absolute roller coaster of a series... let alone game 4.

You guys remember that the Spurs were up by 10 early, then the Heat were up by 10, then the Spurs came back to lead by 6... ALL before halftime!!??!!

Wade came to play last night, and Bosh did what he was supposed to do... finally.  Now, can they actually do it for more than one game in a row?? we'll see.

This is crazy.  Long long time ago I said Heat in 6... I will begrudgingly stick with it.

Wade looked like his old self last night. It's been a long time since we've seen him bring that kind of game. It's been an awesome series thus far and last night proved that the series rests on the Heat, not the Spurs. If Lebron and wade continue to play well from here on out, i dont think the Spurs don't stand a chance.

And Manu needs to step it up and start attacking. Spurs big 3 is currently at 1 and a half. Cmon Spurs. T-Mac needs his ring!!!
