Doesn't seem like it's a good deal.  It's lodging only (doesn't include lift tickets).  Northstar usually does their stay and ski fee which means you get free lift tickets with your room.  It costs a little more but the overall value is better.

1 more thing, no elevators with the studio condos, and they go 3 stories high. So you could be carrying a lot of luggage.

Travel windows aren't good either. Early season mostly and there's no guarantee this early snow will continue.

Yes, but the National Weather Service predicts a sunny 61 degrees in nearby Kings Beach next week. Last year it snowed in October and then nothing happened again until January.

Northstar usually has good man-made snow when the natural stuff doesn't come. As long as it's cold enough, you'll be able to ride.

holy hell is that expensive!  Say down in KB for a fraction of that!

And yes, no one has more/better snowmaking than Northstar.  they'll be open as long as they can blow at night.

yes, it is called white rabbit and I bust a nut up in its fluffy tail as I thump through its cabbage patch.

that might set a record for sexual innuendo in one sentence.  someone call Guinness...beer maker or record book, I don't care which.

I got stuck deep in the White Rabbit cabbage patch last year (actually there was a group of us) and we were all wet, soggy and breathing very hard by the time we got out of there.

Oh!  Well if that's the case then I can't wait to see what happens during a Thrive meat-up.

Top of lookout lift, and then go Right.  It's rarely open though.  When I say rarely, I mean like 1 or 2 days every couple years.

that happened to me two years ago.  IIRC, you are talking about tracking too far to riders left and then have the 300 yard slog out back to the trail?

If you're looking at the map, draw a line from the top of lookout lift to the bottom of the backside lift.  Those trees you cross are white rabbit.

That's about the size of it.  It was a real Detroit hayride back there for a minute or two.  Actually, I'm relatively fantastic at shredding through brushpiles and manzanita and whatnot, so I was OK pointing it and came out at the bottom by whatever that backside lift is called.  But I had to wait a bit for the group, and was kinda relieved to see my wife ride out since we got separated (which is par for the course).

P.S.  You can tell from this epicmix photo that we were not only partying, but are expert shredders and not gapers in any way

I stay at these condos at least one weekend when my sis comes and visits. I love them! So convenient. If you and a few your buddies just need somewhere to crash it's a great place. A queen bed, a pull out couch, and sometimes they have sleeping pads stored in the closet, a kitchen and eating area. The convenient of having to just wake up and go right to riding. The shuttle is really fast in picking you up and dropping you off and you get a one night free over night board storage at the village. If you already have a season pass, this is a great deal!

For those going on about the price, I think it's pretty fair for staying in that area.  Ya could be cheap like me and stay in Reno, but then it is a buttkicker getting up early to drive the 40 minutes back up to the resorts.  I find it worth it, since I usually have free or under $50 stays in Reno compared to this $150 price at Northstar.
