Cheap New England Hotels

Unfortunately, like most east coasters, many of the bigger mountains are sometimes a trek for me. With more trails, terrain, and snow, its usually worth it for folks to drive from Boston, NYC, and Philly up to a mountain in NH, VT, and Maine and crash in a cheap hotel.

I've noticed in each thread about certain mountains there are sometimes recommendations for cheap beds made in passing.

I think there should be a sticky or pinned note with some of the big mountains (like Killington, Stowe, Sugarbush, Wildcat, Okemo, Smuggs, Sunday River, Jay Peak, Cannon, Sugarloaf, Stratton, Waterville, etc) and some of their good local cheap hotels all combined together.

Is there a post already somewhere about these? Thoughts?
