Anyone know any other good boards beside Burton boards.

every single other brand in the real snowboard industry.  if you exclude brands like 5150 and morrow, which are sold at multi-sport stores (not real snowboard shops), then literally every single brand is "good."

the answer really is "every brand you could find in a real snowboard shop."  it's not like there are "bad" snowboards from real companies.

worst answer ever..
things like this should be marked spam...

but being new to snowboarding i can understand how difficult it can be when choosing a board.. because there are SO MANY to choose from, its quite overwhelming.
Good way to start is to read the basic types of boards and what kind of rider are you.

I fully recommend handmade brands, I think theyre trustworthy and the boards are of higher quality in regards to finishing touches.
I think arbor, smokin, stepchild, GNU and neversummer are pretty damn awesome. European companies are Allian and Rossignol etc, from what I know some (if not all) Rossignol boards are handmade in spain.
Personally I wouldnt usually trust boards that are made in china.. most major brands have most of their boards made in factories situated in china. Since china is pretty much the dodge-est country in Asia (dont call me racist.. im an asian too lol) I wouldnt put my trust into their stuff even though everyones pretty much living in a pile of made-in-china stuff..
The least you could do is to get a quality snowboard made in Canada, US or Europe and help some of those small brands that believe in what they do and provide some quality shred to us riders.

some of the best factories in the industry are in asia.  shakespeare and playmaker for example.  the country of origin does not dictate the quality as a general rule.  if you picture sweatshops or non-snowboard-specific factories, yes of course you will be wary of china production.... but there is simply nothing wrong with it.  you can have good or bad factories anywhere.  and in all reality, some of the factories in europe used by MANY snowboard brands have had more quality issues than anyone else.  on top of that, literally everything else is made in asia and the quality is still top notch.
