Lucky. Its been cold enough here for snowmaking but my local resort is too cheap to do it since there is going to be two warm days later this week. And by warm I mean highs in the mid 50s and lows in the 30s.

the bumps in the mid-west are going to be struggling to open. ...although we are not doing much better in the Rockies. Although resorts are open, runs are limited.

One of the largest snow making capabilities in the Mid West. Thanks in part by being located along the Mississippi.

Just got word that we're opening Thursday for the weekend and closing for a couple days next week. First week of December has been pretty consistent for opening the past 10yrs.

I’m originally from the Chicago area and used to ride at Chestnut. It’s about as good as it gets in the area. I always thought it was funny that they refer to it as Chestnut ‘Mountain’. LOL!!! …but what’s in a name, huh? J

We supposedly have one of the largest too. I'm just whining about how cheap my resort is. Nothing I can do anyways.

Getting dumped on right now!

Due to high winds and unsafe driving conditions, they're closed down today.

Thanks to the frigid temps the past week, Chestnut is reopening March 23-30. They set up 20 rails running from Geronimo down the length of Old Main

had some of the most fun all year at this place. definitely going to try to make it another time or two before it warms up too much. highly suggested if it's equidistant as other places.
