I just recently got the free binding coupon and I think there needs to be some clarity created with what you are getting. The email that is sent out says ANY bindings. The site posts...

Member Point Details

Hi there and welcome to TruSnow's Member Point reward system. We wouldn't be anywhere without you, the customer, so we are hooking you up to say thanks for sharing our passion for snowboarding and skiing! There are 4 ways to earn points:

Posting:
You can earn up to five points a day for posting in our community forums. We encourage you to be active and meet our staff, expert members and other community members. Submitting one-word posts, negative or malicious posts and/or reviving old threads just to earn your daily points, can result in a loss of those points.

Write a review:
Please share your experiences with the products you have used, purchased or demoed. Let us all know what you think. Spread the love or the dirt; nothing beats first hand experience. You can post up to three a day. Reviewing products with irrelevant reviews, or un-insightful reviews for points can, and will, be deleted resulting in a loss of those points. If a review is flagged 5 times by the community as spam, the review will be deleted along with the associated points.

Buying gear:
If reviews and forums aren't your cup of tea, no fear- you can earn one point for every $10 dollars spent; for example if you spend $248 you get 24 points: There are no partial points. Dollar amounts less then 10 will not roll over to future purchases. ***Remember to log into your account for all your purchases: We cannot combine any points from different accounts.

Logging In:
The easiest way to earn points. You get one point per day, everyday that you log into the site.

Free Gifts:
When you reach a new level and qualify for a free gift you will be emailed a coupon. This coupon will be valid for any sale item in the qualifying category. Maximum value of free goggle is $100 Full Retail, Snowboard Binding $250 Full Retail

TruSnow reserves the right at any time to discontinue, delete, suspend or change any or all point reward systems, without notice. Points potentially earned during these times will not be reinstated when system is restored. Any abuse of forums, chat, or point reward system, including illegitimate posts or reviews or getting banded in chat, can result in the loss of points, status and account, at the sole discretion of the staff.

And when you put an item in your shopping cart it only does a 200 discount

it also says.. this coupon will be valid for any SALE item in the qualifying category... which wipes out the current year stuff.. which has been off limits since this started.  The difference in discount amount for bindings should be fixed by the staff asap.

MTPOW did see that as well but when I got the goggles one I found out it was retail which is fine. I understand why they do it that way. I just bought a ICS board and finding est bindings for under 200 retail is almost impossible. I just think its crappy that it says 250 and now I have to cover the rest after 200 as opposed to 250. Regardless I will b!tch and complain and with probably still pay in the end.

jjoang6 haha yea thats pretty doubtful

I'll go ahead and bold the part that matters the most.

TruSnow reserves the right at any time to discontinue, delete, suspend or change any or all point reward systems, without notice. Points potentially earned during these times will not be reinstated when system is restored.

Also you had to do some digging to find that outdated info since the main page on the points system clearly states $200 limit. Not sure what the fuss over $50 is about when you're getting $200 for doing practically nothing, but hey to each their own.

Yes, it does suck $50 is a lot but on the other hand you are still getting $200. Consider it a discount you take it or leave it, no harm done.

so you buy a ICS board, a website offers you $200 off last years bindings for talking about sports and COD, Burton makes no bindings at the $200 price point you want and...I'm sorry, what is the issue again?

I think we all knew it was $200, but sometimes digging can be rewarded... I wouldn't bet on it but worth a shot.  I'm looking forward to my binding coupon, counting down... eager for those Union Force SL!!!  I hope they're not too stiff for the park (pairing them with my Sierra Stunt).

No digging really needed to be done if just read whats available to you.

Before you all go and get pissy about me complaining about 50 bucks I called and got it straightened out. It is 250 on the retail price. What I was seeing was 200 was on a none marked but 2013 model burton xbase. I wasnt supposed to be able to apply my coupon and the reason I was complaining was because the older models only had the missions and customs in my size neither of which I really care for. So in conclusion. Im just gonna get the missions and put my cartel straps on it.

I was eyeing those SL's too but I'm really not fond of the colourways.

Scuddera, why not pick up a pair of malavitas? damn I swear I saw a pair of cartels not too long ago.. guess they sold it.

Yes sir they do have the cartels but only in sizes 6-8 which doesnt exactly work for me lol. I did look at the malavitas but they retail for 330 or 380. I really wasnt looking to shell to much out of pocket. thanks for the idea though

I just think it's cool that you get a fattie discount, or just shipping charges, for new gear. It's not exactly working and saving, so I'll take it.
fj5- I don't think the Force SL's are too stiff for park. I'm pretty sure Scott Stevens is using those for some tricks in Defenders of Awesome.

$200 is generous enough.  I used my new P1.1s this past weekend and the extra cushioning was awesome!  Other than that though, I'm not able to tell much difference from my old bindings.
