Better value----

After spending the while looking into things to get my gf started would be better to get her:

I'm for A as well... if she's coming from rentals, she'll be upgrading with whatever you get her.  My only concern is this, I did the same thing, got her gloves, goggles, pants, picked out her board... but they really do care about colours and style.  No matter how great those pants or gloves are, if they're the wrong colour, she won't wear them.  So maybe ask her for her preferences?

I did realize that so I have showed her what she could get and looking to see what she likes...pretty sneaky, so those are the options I have found.  We are going for new years and I want her to be prepared for it, instead of just throwing a bunch of stuff together. I'm a student so this is my budget and probably over thinking everything. I need a sugar momma just to get what I want. 

Ya went through that process got a nice pair of burtons casa that fit really well, thanks. 

I'd go with option A. I really don't think the board will make the difference esp if you're still learning, Being comfortable and warm her being worried about getting hurt, she'll enjoy the experience a lot more.

I find the flat soft volleyball knee pads work great actually.  Soft to rest on while taking a break midway down the hill and they're less bulky underneath the pant.  I lend mine to my gf now and I got them for like $12 at a cheap sports store.  Brand was Cooper.  Not a bad addition to your gift set.

I would get her comfortable and definitely waterproof gears otherwise she won't enjoy things if her gears get all all soaked and cold.  If she's scared of getting hurt then get her a helmet and wrist guards and maybe impact shorts.

Thanks for all the suggestions, ya I ended up going for the burton lux and new waterproof gear and impact pants.  now she will have to pick up a helmet if she wants, last time we looked at one nothing matched her "style".  lol

The 1st one. Make the introduction to boarding as easy for her as possible. You think she gives a shit whether she'e on a sweet board or not..NO. Make the learning curve as comfortable as possible!

I'd go with A. When I started out I get everything and anything affordable because I was new to the sport and didn't know that I will fully like snowboarding. So similarly, I went with Option A and as time passes, I buy better gear one at a time (usually when it goes on sale) especially when I was in college. 

Definately A. but let her go and try on boots herself... go with her and foot the bill... a bad pair of boots makes riding harder. Take my story for example i was considering a pair of 32 boots for ages... went to the shop and tried them on... didnt like them so then i tried on some burton poachers they were a perfect fit... and they were 60 dollars cheaper and i feel like i enjoy riding more because i tried on almost every pair of boots they had in the shop... Boots are definately something not to skimp out on.
