Snowboard pants too big!

are you serious? it isnt even a questions, its too big, a belt doesnt help. WEll dam obviously 

If you're going to buy pants online, you have to use a tailors tape and measure your waist/inseam, then follow the manufacturers size chart.  

What brand are they? Are you saying all size smalls are too big?
If size small is still 4-6 inches too big for your waist i suggest looking at the youth
section...

ahhh that explains it all... try another brand, foursquare is notorious for oversizing. my boyfriend had a pair of pants from them in size small but they fit like xl's.

Sorry you had bad luck with the fit of your pants.  But as others have said, unfortunately  fitment can vary a great deal from company to company.  Even within the brand sometimes.

That's why, if you noticed in the TruSnow reviews, it has a "size" and "fits like" categorie.

Some smalls fit like mediums. Some mediums seem small etc.

I always read as many reviews as I can find on something that I am interested in.  You will see a pattern of the way something fits.


Don't forget, another option is to go to a shop near you and try on a bunch of pants to find the best fit.  Then, you can go online and try to find the best price available. And if you find that your local shop is pretty close to the price you find online, you can just buy it from your local shop. 

I'd say find what fit you best. Good example, I just recently bought the Burton Notch jacket size small. It was a bit loose on me but nothing laying can't fix. The jacket is super long, past my butt cheeks and I'm 5'6. Buying online is dangerous, but if I get it for a super great deal, I wouldn't hesitate. Yeah, i got my Notch for a super deal

you could get some suspenders... or just return them foursquare does run a little big.

Belt it up and roll your pants up when walking around, thats what I've always done. I usually wear pants 1 or 2 sizes larger than when I actually fit in.

Most new pants today have velcro straps inside the waistline to adjust the width, have you tried that?  I mean, if you can still return them, then that's probably the best thing to do, but if you really like them, then suspenders can also work.

I think everyone will step on their pants at some point or other, I do all the time, I actually get L even though I'm normally a S or M.  I like my pants baggy.  Some pants (my Burton AK) also have in-leg snap-on straps that will lift up the back edge of your pant leg.  They really work!

Let me know how does it fit when you get them. My burton poacher Small pants feels a bit too baggy I might consider picking up xs in the future or slim fit.
