    Posted: Dec/07/2012 at 10:11am
hey ive spent the last month deciding between a 9 or 9.5,
ended up getting a size 9
i also have 3 weeks to change them for a 9.5 if need be...

i just have a couple things id like to hear what people have to say..

one complant i have is the pressure on my top of my foot, sometimes i can feel my artery move a bit..

also whats the best way to break them in within 3 weeks??

thanks!!

just gotta wear them around... put them on and walk around in them in your house. that should break them in over the course of a few days.
It comes and it goes, get it while it lasts.

if you wanna run with them on, perhaps putting a bag around it or wrapping it with something
Honestly I don't think that is the right boot for you if you've got that pressure on.. imagine when you buckle in your binders.. wouldn't it get worse?
Agreed with AJD13 on wearing them in.. around the house best way to go.

have you tried to heat them up?  You can do it at home (risky), or go to a shop and have them heat them up for you to more or less "mold" to the foot.  I say more or less, because i'm not 100% that it's going to make a lot of difference to the top of your foot.  If it pinches up there, you're going to be a pretty miserable dude.

Are you otherwise happy with these boots?
They seem realy soft when I checked them out at the store.

Like JDiggidy said, try getting them heat molded at your local shop. It will usually make them fit better, especially if they are too small. If you still get that pressure on the top after heat molding them then return them and get the next size up. Heat molding them shouldn't affect the return policy, all they have to do is have them re-heated.

Stick with the 9.5.
Take out Burton's garbage insole and get a good athletic insole to replace it.
The extra room in the size 9.5 will afford a properly arched foot with the right insole.
Where is your sock cramping? Are you using the J-bar inserts properly?
