What would be he most bad ass vechicle to get you to the mountain?!? Mine personally would be a rally spec Subaru Sti or Forester Sti ( unfortunately its only made in Europe) any way have at it!

lol i think the truck is perfect... you can put 6 people in there and have room for all the gear in the bed... just throw a tonneau cover or a camper cap on the bed and your good to go!

I would say a 4X4 Sequoia or 4 Runner with all weather/snow tires would be my choices.

My Toyota 4Runner SR5 '87 was the best transportation to the mountain that I ever had, utterly brilliant truck... I miss it :( I used to drive in winter with the roof off hahaha! And even in the most severe snow storms. I'd step outside, lock my manual hubs, shove the bitch into 4WD and I could climb a f**king mountain, with absolutely no modification. Their durability is also why they make for good terrorist trucks. I'm not joking, Google terrorist truck...

having such a light bed does cause that. but if your loaded down with 6 or 7 cinderblocks you should be just fine. 

I knew someone was gonna say the tanked up Subi, I'll take that too. I have a Honda Element. It looks funky n I hated it. But is so practical. It's got rubber floors instead of carpets...a plus with muddy boots. Seats 4 n the boards without bindings slides under the back seats. More than enough room with 4 boards n luggage from 4 riders. Plus is awd...real time awd...love how it says it on the back of the car. But is only a 4 cylinder with Honda's crap auto tranny. But is a civic chassis so it somewhat drives like a civic... A really tall civic.
Trucks are great but on snowy, icy days when the truck bed doesn't have enough weight in it, is one scary ace ride. Unfortunately, saw a truck rollover yesterday on da 50 going up to Sierra@Tahoe. Poor kid n his friends. It might of been an icy turn.

My Honda CRV. AWD, fuel efficiency, enough power to go up the mountain and room for 5.

My 08 4Runner does the job.  That thing tears trough the snow.  I wouldn't mind a new one though.  

My red Mazda MX-3 rocks out in the snow and always makes it to the mountain!
