simply getting one of the new pairs will solve your problems, if you like the ZF1.

yea mine are full leather..i mean its not bad but it went from a medium stiffness boot to a pretty soft boot within a short time. i still like them, i just want to move to something that holds up over time so i figured the insert for the ites would be worth considering

i have found that the ZF1 breaks down less than any boot i've ever had, so it's pretty interesting that you find they broke down so quickly. did you have 2009s, the first year? they were full grain leather that softened up quickly, but from 2010 on, it's been high end synthetics.

yea i'm interested in the inserts because zf1's seem to get pretty flexible even after 15 days on them. at least and insert would put some stiffness back into the boot.

My buddy just got a pair in the mail. He had a pair of Zoom forces from like 2 yrs ago and didnt use them that much and they were shredded. For grins he sent some picks to Nike and sure $hit they sent him a brand new pair of ites. NOW THATS WHAT I CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE. He said they are comfortable as hell and have some different settings for stiffness. Im not really sure what thats about but yea. He is impressed so far

hahaha, well, I've never tried the Kaijus myself, but they definitely cost quite a bit more than the ZF1 deal I found... and I do appreciate a stiff boot. The ZF1's are super comfy too though, don't you think? They're definitely more comfy than my other boots (Sims, Ride Ful, and DC Park).

you shouldnt, the kaijus are like having your own personal foot masseuse lwhilst puppies lick your honey dripped toes on a bed of candyfloss...
i admit this information comes from only trying them on - but man those kaijus are feet heaven. Still, i went with the forces, and theyre great too... i guess :( I still wonder... what if?... WHAT IF???

I had no idea the ZF1's were the stiffest in the lineup... that's awesome news, thanks Spenser! I was told the Kaiju's were a bit soft and it was always my understanding that the more expensive the boot, the stiffer it is and the Kaiju's are more expensive than the ZF1's... now I know! I feel happier about my ZF1 purchase now.

can't speak to the width of the last with 100% certainty, but I imagine it's not much different. none of the boots feet wider than others to me besides the vapen a little in the toe maybe.
as for stiffness, noooo the kaiju is not stiffer than the ZF1 at all, they're just more expensive and that's probably where the misconception comes from. it goes vapen > kaiju > DK > ZF1 from softest to stiffest, and the ites can vary, potentially the stiffest, or not.

buying boots in chicago blows. The only options are Viking, shred shop and burton flagship.

yea there aren't any places around chicago that have them..even niketown didn't currently have my size. i was under the impression that kaijus were stiffer than zf1's then ites were stiffer than kaijus if you put in the insert. do you know if the last/footbed feels narrower than the zf1's?

the fit is slightly different, a little more like the kaiju methinks. either way, you always need to try boots on first, but i think if you could try on kaijus and they fit right, i think it would be fairly safe to guess with the ites.
with the stiffest insert, they are said to be a bit stiffer than the ZF1

I already have Zoom Force 1's and I'm looking to get a stiffer boot. Has anyone ridden the Ites or both and have some input on how the fit compares?
