This is nice for a visiting east coaster like myself. Seems  Kirkwood isn't on the CA  ski free list anymore this year .WME 2 for 1 coupons are floating around on Clist   for there and the Heave though.

Oh, and even better than 2 for 1, Bear Valley in Central California is giving out free tickets next Thursday 12/20, so you can get some shredding in before the Mayan end of times. (+ this creates some goodwill after the negative press of the ownership possibly not opening the resort this year...)

I know right?  My favorite place is 5 hours away from here (well, fav within 300 miles) and of course the buy one deal is only good on Tuesdays.  WTF?  Some aren't too bad, but most places seem to want to boost their slow day ticket sales I guess.
And yep lighting80, they do still do them other places.  I'm in MI and we have a bunch of participatinig resorts.  Looks like the shell thing is in like 4 or 5 states now.

No east coast at all, of course. This would be great for heading to Vermont mountains I've never been to too.

why would the resorts give people deals on days that already have a lot of people? it's no surprise that they only allow those coupons on the slow days so the full price paying weekend warriors and vacationers won't have to get stuck in long lines with deal-grabbers on the weekends.

It sucks that Northstar doesnt participate any more, but it's still a great deal if you can sneak out midweek.

I was saying the same thing about Kirkwood. Those people on ebay selling the WME 2 for 1 's  for $40 have lost their mind

If you can ride weekdays then you probably already have a pass. I might use it just to try out a place I don't have access to. Guess it's good that I would have to go on a weekday so I don't have to go through the crowds.

^Yeah, back in the day when Northstar offered this on Sundays, my friends would go and find the parking lots were full. They made a lot of money on the VIP parking and Fast Passes on those days.

^Yeah, I would have been upset if I had spent all that money on a pass and found that madness. Course now with the new ownership the pendulum has swung the other way and it's almost impossible to find any kind of discount if you only want to go to Northstar once or twice.

^Second, or rather third that. During those days N* sucked on Sundays!!!! Worst day to ride! I'd have to say it was horrendous. 30-40min lift lines. 30min bus ride (on a 2 mile road), squished like sardines, worst session ever.

I had no idea that Michigan had so many (or even any) ski resorts. Doubt I'll ever travel that far though.
