I am looking to add a powder board to the line-up.
I am riding a Sims Chaos at the moment that is more or less able in the deeps, but looking for some serious float for pow days. Looking at reviews has sent me all over the place... But somehow my eyes get drawn to either the Burton Fish or the Bluebird, as a more versatile option... Any thoughts? Seeing as I still have the Sims for the groomers, I guess I could do with a pow only board, though the thought of being able to hold a proper edge on groomers and cut through packed snow appeals as well.... Curious to some personal opinions! Cheers

honestly way too many to list. Im not joking. Ive tried writing this several times now and i always get about 5 boards in before thinking "but what about... i should mention that too if im going to mention...". Bluebird isnt a powder board. Dont pick that over a real powder board if your object of the board is powder. So heres the cheat sheet: Capita charlie slasher Burton barracuda Jones Hovercraft Burton fish Jones Solution Bataleon cameltoe Venture everything prior pretty much everything Ride slackcountry Libtech birdman Ride Highlife* (not specific pow, but that nose makes things interesting). K2 gyrator Salomon sickstick Salomon powdersnake Burton juicewagon/cheetah (family tree line in general). Bataleon Undisputed. Neversummer Summit. Rome Notch Winterstick... Gentem (beautiful by the way, but way out of most peoples price ranges). Ummm.. i think ill stop :)

Completely understood. I guess there's no point in buying an almost there board, if we can go all the way.
I will have a look at all of them, read up on some info and make a choice (also factoring in price). Cheers for the (rather extensive) list mate! |
