Sigh, I only hit 29 days.  If by chance the rain stops and the temps drop a bit, I might just go for day 30 but my ankle isn't fully healed yet.  Dang it.

Sweet, I'll see you Wednesday man, I'll probably be around Happy & the park all day.  PM me your cell if you wanna meet up or something.  A few of us are going, but I think Lux has to work.

Maybe we can arrange some sort of carpool if you're interested?

Dude when are you available to ride next? Me and fj5 and our crew are always looking for more people to ride with and we mostly ride on weekdays too. Hit me up with a PM with your number and we can coordinate transportation, etc. And we can have like demo days and trade gear or girlfriends or whatever! Big smile

I need to start visiting these forums more often... I've been riding blue mountain (5x7) this season. If there's a meet up I'll try my best to make it out.

Blue Mountain hasn't received good, consistent snowfall for the last 3 seasons; I wouldn't hold my breath for good stuff this season, but there will be rare dump days from time to time. While Tremblant is extensively built out and up (650-metre vertical), Blue Mountain is extensively built wide... very wide. The new Orchard Expansion this season will widen it even further and add the longest beginner run in Ontario and, hopefully, alleviate some of the problematic overcrowding on weekends. With the night skiing infrastructure, you can be riding for 13.5 hours a day. Modestly priced accommodation can be found in the nearby town of Collingwood, 10 minutes from the resort. Blue Mountain is about as good as it gets in Ontario when you consider altogether size, terrain, infrastructure, nightlife, and the people.

I haven't been to Tremblant, but will go this season.

Killington in Vermont was a blast to ride with a deep mix of terrain and pockets of powder. Quite expensive, though, being that it's an affluent region of Vermont.

I haven't been to Vermont.. guessing your going to Smugglers Notch? But I would say stick to Vermont.. Then again all in all, most of eastern riding is icy conditions.
The worst I've had was  riding on sheets of ice that's patched here and there, not the kind of resort riding I would like with nicely groomed runs.

well tremblant is a monster compared to blue mountain. Blue mountain unfortunately is the only real option if you live in Toronto. Rest are even smaller

OMG these were the vids you were watching! LoL damn amazing stuff.. I think I would have gone with the SLs if I was able to.. the newer version.. if not then it would be the Atlas 2013's.. because of sizing I have to consider other options.
And yes Nautika it would be from the coupon. So excited! i can't wait for em.. I'm so due for a great pair..I'd say it holding back my progression ;) hahaha

Similar to Burton, all Flux bindings using their 'Alpha' baseplate have multi-density footbeds that will also compress to achieve canting using rider weight. Bear in mind, though, that canting becomes less useful as your binding angles increase. Also, canting altogether, in my opinion, isn't really that noticeable anyway unless you have absurdly wide stances on an aggressively positive cambered board. Union Atlas would be up your alley: the Atlas is the new Force, but the dealbreaker is the upgraded baseplate and new asymmetrical strap. Teruumi Fujimoto uses the Union Atlas:

Burton's autocant is based on foam density and its ability to compress. Therefore it will look even without weight or pressure compressing the foam. But when you apply pressure, the foam compresses differently on the inside of the foot vice the outside of the foot.

excerpt from Transworld on Burton's AutoCant:

"AutoCant is a new padding technology put into the BEDs of some of our key models.  Unlike traditional cants that force a rider into a specific canted angle, AutoCant forms to a rider’s natural canted angle.  The wider the stance, the more cant; the more narrow the stance, the less cant.  There’s no need to think about it, AutoCant adjusts automatically.  The way it works is relatively simple – on the inside (medial side) of the pad, we use a softer, less dense foam, while on the outside (lateral side) of the pad, we use a firm, more dense foam.  The difference in density allows the boot to more easily settle into a natural canted position, depending on the rider’s stance width and angle."

Also Unions do not have canting options so its not exactly a one for one comparison to bindings with cant beds if thats something jhoang is looking for.

But the force SLs are probably the best option available if youre looking to spend your binding coupon on something.

Burton has Autocant beds, which I think are bs.  They're not truly canted, they claim to mold to a comfortable cant but I don't buy it.  Don't get me wrong, I still love my Malavita Restricted... but certain things about it bug me.  Love the wings though, but I think the Force SL are a better choice.

Yes give us an update LUX, of course when you get info that is.
FLUX
The house does not have it...

Oh yah FJ I'm looking at the malavita too because it's got the Cant beds. Providing that extra cushion and side angle thingy...plus comparably light and of course they still have the size.

My season's pretty much done now, since I turned my board in for warranty after riding with the lads on Tuesday. Obviously had to make sure to squeeze in as much flexing damage as possible before submitting it; one skier even said my core was gone because it was so noodly hahah!LOL I reached 24 ride days this winter.

We have so many Toronto riders here and only 3 show up for the entire season? Confused

yea season seems done. Friends went march break and said it was slushy. Pretty weak winters lately.
