Yea, The Sharks are definitely battling....
What i'm pissed off about is the $100,000 fine that the sharks GM got for his comment on Torres' suspension. It's ridiculous they fine you for speaking your mind/truth/opinion. and then change the rules so that they can fine you 4x the amount they're supposed to even be able to do so in the first place... Shame on the NHL for this...

Sharks had a strong game last night, both goalies played well (Niemi 26-27, Quick 38-40).
Boston pounded NYR 5-2. Lundqvist gives up 5 goals in a playoff game - last time it happened was 2009 (5 goals in a playoff game).

^ Good to see the Sens take one from the Pens. I'm hoping the Sens goal that tied the game late in the 3rd is a morale breaker for the Pens, would love to see Sid and the girls get knocked out of the playoffs.
Chicago at Detroit tonight, it will be interesting to see how both teams respond after the last game (great effort by Detroit, lackluster effort from Chicago). |

agreed, Blackhawks looked to be trying to coast through the series and got bit in the ass for it. Detroit's got momentum now and Chicago is now the away team.... Should be a good game to watch.

^ If I remember correctly Detroit played a lackluster game in Detroit after taking Game 2 against Anaheim. For them to beat the Blackhawks tonight they have to avoid this type of let-down. I have a feeling Chicago is going to come out of the gates firing on all cylinders.
My prediction: Blackhawks 5 Red Wings 1 |

^ Ouch.... 5-1 is a pretty harsh prediction... I can definitely see it happening though. If Chicago is on their game they can definitely do some hurtin' on the scoreboard.

Scoreless game so far. Hawks can do some damage but the Wings are exactly a pushover either. They'll give them a good fight. I can see this series going the distance.

Can't say I was very interested with the NY Rangers this season. Management took the #1 seeded team and traded everyone away. So I'm not too vested but I hope they can take the Bruins out!

Isn't that the same for the NBA. I think it's so stupid. Just the owner's way of keeping that sport in good light to the public. So long for freedom of speech

Okay, I was off by just a bit... lolz... Obviously I expected the Blackhawks to come out of the gates flying and run up the score last night, didn't happen. Regarding the post about Chicago losing their mojo, IMO I do not think so. They will rebound and come back strong on Thursday. Chicago hasn't faced much adversity this season, this series is really testing their mettle. Now onto tonight's games. My wild and inaccurate predictions: Boston 3 NYR 2 (OT) SJ 3 LA 2 Yep, same score for both games. |

Surprised that the Red Wings are leading the series. I expect the Blackhawks to rebound and take the series in 6.

Don't count the wings out yet. Everyone underestimates us because the team was so bad in the beginning of the season due to half the team never having played in the NHL before. There are still some rough patches, especially with the defensive turnovers, but the team is playing with high energy and tenacity while it looks like Chicago just wants to ride their natural talent. Frustration is really setting in on Madison, 2 goals in 2 games and Toews is looking as cold as Chris Perry in round 1. Detroit's forecheck has been killing the normally stoic Chiciago defense, and the Wings absolutely DOMINATED the faceoff circle in game 3. It's OK if nobody believes in this team yet, because I love when they prove everyone wrong. This is the first time in a long long time that the Red Wings haven't had the pressure of extremely high expectations, in fact there are no expectations because they weren't even supposed to be in the playoffs, and that can only help a roster of young players. I know the defense makes a lot of bonehead plays, and people tend to see that and write them off, but trust me these guys make a lot of great plays too, and they are helped defensively so much by the heavy backchecking of a forward core taught in practice by the greatest 2 way player in the game, Pavel Datsyuk.

^Yep. A lot of their young guns are really playing well in this series. They've given the old vets a bit of a push and made this a tough series for the hawks.

Man... Darryl Sutter never looks happy but in this game he just looks madder and madder...
The Kings keep taking stupid penalties.... slashing... leaving your feet for a check... Keep it up Sharks! ** Just dodged a bullet with that quick whistle **

Boston somehow is able to grind out a win taking a 3-0 lead. I think it's safe to say that this series is over. Rangers are pretty running on fumes at this point. |

I'm very disappointed in the Rangers, that last goal was some bad luck, and pretty much spells doom unless they pull a philly move and come back. I like the bruins too though so as long as they beat the penguins if they move on I will be happy.

^I agree. Really thought the Rangers would've put up more of a fight and give the Bruins a challenge. Their big names haven't shown up at all.

hopefully they can dig deep and make a series out of this round...

Man the Sharks came out firing...that is the most dominated I have seen the Kings in a long time in that first period. Kings really played well in 3rd which is important coming back home to Staple center. We have the two best home teams doing what they should do and that is win at home. Thursday is going to be crazy rocking.
Oh and what a ridiculously quick whistle and horrible call on that goal they disallowed. Niemi never even came close to having that puck, why the ref blew it I have no idea.

According to the administration, the nation's tax revenue Lineage 2 Adena totaled 3.26 trillion yuan ($472 billion) in the first half of this year, up 760.6 billion yuan or 30.5 percent over the same period of last year. Included in the huge L2 Adena sum was stamp tax imposed on domestic securities trading, which grew 34.2 percent to 83.7 billion yuan.
The government slashed the stamp tax in April of this year from 0.3 percent to 0.1 percent. The move was believed to boost investor's Lineage 2 Adena confidence and market participation in the declining market. |

Several weeks after our son began his freshman year swg credits at Alma College in Michigan, my husband and I decided to visit him. I was careful to call him a few days in swg gold advance to "warn" him that we would be coming. When we arrived at the dorm, however, I was taken aback by the disarray of his room. "Forgot we were coming, didn't you?" I teased.
"Are you kidding?" he replied, "Why else would Lotro Gold I have bothered to clean?" |

Yeah that was a terrible call! But even had the goal been allowed I don't know if the kings would've come back. It would've given them some life but the sharks outplayed the kings in all aspects. Face offs won, hits, blocked shots, etc. Sharks really earned that win. Also, can someone spam the two above posts by guanren?

There have been some bad calls this post season but the quick whistle that took a goal away form the Kings was one of the worst. Niemi did not have control of the puck (obviously, otherwise it would not have trickled over the goal line). That was a lousy call.
I predicted 3-2 wins by Boston and San Jose, both teams won 2-1. I'm getting better at this. Tonight's game prediction: Pittsburgh 4 Ottawa 2 |

Not saying the Sharks didn't deserve to win...they played great but to say they would not have come back is hard to say. The game ended 2-1 so... Second period shots went 6 to 6 Third period shots went 14-2 in Kings favor. |

That is the most dominant period I think I've ever seen the Sharks play. Joe Thornton was a BEAST!
Need to steal Game 5 at Staples!

The Kings won't lose at home, after almost coming back in the 3rd period, they are gonna come out ready. Our crowd will support them

The Kings are starting to look really beat up... The St. Louis series was a really heavy hitting series and it's showing.
Teams can definitely feed off the crowd but you can't hide from injuries.

As to why there was a quick whistle...
I'm pretty sure the reason for that was to protect Niemi... Remember the penalty that was called on the Kings when their player slammed into him. A penalty was called of course but I'm sure that the ref's were told to try and make sure that didn't happen again (avoid hurting goalies). thus... quick whistle as soon as the ref lost sight of the puck when players are charging the net. my 2 cents...

Riiiiight. Sharks should've taken Game 2, and the only reason the Sharks aren't at least up 3-1 in the series is because Quick is playing out of his mind (yet again). If the Sharks can keep the momentum up and not have a let down after Game 4, they'll take tomorrow's game and finish the series off at The Tank on Sunday. How long have you been a Kings fan? Since 2012?

Ya, that's kind of what I am thinking. Personally, I still feel that they blew the whistle early, but I'll take the lucky break, especially when the Kings have been getting them most of the series. Either way, either team shouldn't bitch or moan about the refs. If you're a good enough team, you don't let the refs decide the outcome on a call, you win the game regardless. Calls have gone both ways in the series.
