Wow that's seriously cool and so pretty. Where is this? I didn't know they made boards like that.

Those aren't just longboards. Look here http://freebord.com/?gclid=CKu5yefd6rQCFUOK4AodET8AYw. They have casters as the main wheels and are supposed to be like snowboards for street. Very different ride than longboards.

Nice video! Freeboarding is alot of fun! A bit scary the first runs tho, almost crapped my pants.... You get alot more of the snowboard feeling compared to long/skate-boards.

That set up for the free board is pretty sweet... though without trying it i'd be skeptical of the caster wheel because it looks as if it wouldn't be in contact with the ground unless a turn is initiated.... might be the idea they want but seems less forgiving and playful that way

I grew up long boarding, but one of my friends had a free board. It was pretty cool, but he couldn't go as fast as us, or down as steep of hills. Having said that, it was much more like snowboarding than long boarding is.

As fun as that looks I'm not sure that I'll be looking to buy one anytime soon. I'm pretty content with longboarding right now.

kudos on wearing helmets and protective gear. there are people who do this in the same canyon runs where people drive sports cars and ride motorcycles. except they're in tshirts and jeans...

These are quite freaking hard to control and actually quite scary at speed. As bad as ice feels, it isn't asphalt.

True that. I slip up on these while going fast will put you out for weeks. Snowboarding... you get right back up, no problem. These are pretty fun to mess around with, but I dont see myself devoting a lot of time into them. |

I was also expecting a snowboard. Perhaps getting towed by a car in some midwest winters, where they wish they had a mountain. Man would the falls be rough mastering this.

Freebord + large parking garage with elevator = win. I really want one, but they cost as much as a new snowboard. So I am saving for one after my new board. Been looking at them for a while, the way their are designed are interesting in comparison to a long board.
