Looking at going to New Zealand around August some time.
Iv been to the north island just wanting to know where is good to go around the south island? Im looking to go around Queenstown wanting something fun for the boys and something good for the girls? |

Queenstown is where it is at
Coronet peak/Remarkables/Cardrona/Treblecone are your major spots ^^this it the order in how far away from Queenstown central they are Cardrona/Treblecone would belong in wakana to correct but still accessable from Queenstown believe Treblecone is would be about hour and half drive though there is SnowPark nz close to cardrona if park is your thing you would spot in some of the snowboard videos as they often shoot movie parts there |

queenstown is a good central hub. the remarkables is probably my favourite mountain there. coronet is more of a skiers mountain and seems to get the least snow when there a dump, hence its nickname concrete peak. cardrona is awesome except when its busy its really crowded because the major lifts all end up in one spot but its a great mountain, better to hit it during the week. mt hutt is worth a stop in if youre driving down from christchurch as well, great mountain and always seems to get good snow when theres a dump.
