well this article was plastered on transworld, this boarder completely falls off a cliff probably over a 100 ft. somehow he manage to get back up but it looks like he got banged up a bit. it appeared he lost his footing on a shaded ice area..dude is lucky he didn't fall straight into a crevasse or sustain any serious injuries. be safe out there

you can skip the video to 12:00 min mark where it happens

that dude had NO business being in that area at all.  you can tell he is not the most skilled rider, hell he's on a rental board, and he made some bad choices.  super sketchy.  I'm gonna call "idiot" on this one, granted it was still an "accident."

LoL...
that didn't look like too bad of a fall..I guess the point is don't be an idiot?
If there was a camera on him you'd probably see that it wasn't that bad.. he still managed to hold onto his snowboard.. if he really fell it would not be in his hands.
Was this video 12mins of leafing?

While I'm sure this kid scared the crap out of himself, I'm not sure I'd call it a cliff. I was expecting a free fall down a vertical, not sliding on his butt. He'll live another day....to do something else stupid.

a comment from easyloungin that kind sheds a little light on how/why:

"Two observations on the original vid, firstly that being in France this does not surprise me at all, because a 200ft cliff drop is often just the other side of the ropes in the alps, and secondly because the French do not give a shtook you will see guys in jeans on rented snow blades ducking ropes, which is perfectly legal, thinking they can go down a sheer rock face with no snow on it."

1. Who speaks French around here to know what this moron says?

2. Where are his d-bag friends that shoved him off on this little adventure?

3. Why did this idiot think he should have been up there in the first place?

4. Who forgot to bring the popcorn to this little festival?

5. Is is just me, or did he really spend the last 5+ minutes of that vid (before the fall) sliding on his arse?

That run wasn't worth all that climbing they did. Go to a resort.  Glad he didn't die, but that was stupid.

His fall came out of no where, it almost scared me because I was entranced by the awesome peaks in the background.   Dude is lucky.  Does anyone know what he said when he picked up his camera?

Pretty much this... Didn't see anything even remotely resembling a cliff

Still would be pretty scary with all the rocks sticking out, lucky guy for sure
