I've been snowboarding in the Alberta/BC Rockies for 10+ years and recently picked up a Sierra Reverse Crew 155 to replace an old 151 board I was using for the past 8 years but was sad that I did not really notice much of a difference.
I ride about 30% pow, 65% groomed, 5% park and came across a good deal on a Lib Tech T. Rice Pro C2BTX 161.5 board, just wondering if I would notice any difference between it and my RC? I'm 5,9" 185lbs (200 with gear on) and was wondering if 161.5 would be too big for me or should I drop down to the 157? I was planning on keeping my 155 RC for days where I go to the mountain just to screw around. |

It all depends on your preference, riding style, and what you're really looking for or expected from your next board.
Since you're mostly on groomers, a traditional camber board is probably your best bet assuming that you like a carve. 161 is a good size for you since you do mostly groomers and some pow. I don't recommend sizes that are any bigger though. |

depending on what you want to do; i would personally go 157 for parks and jumps and carving while the 161.5 for powder riding but if I had to choose one stick i would go with the 157 since it'll give you superior control.

my dad is exactly your size, he rides groomers only, and he rocks a Rome Machine 155W.
Conclusion: its all what feels good. A bigger board will give you more floating ease on powder, but will be a little harder to turn quickly. Shorter will get squirrelly when going fast, but gives you more control |

Love the T. Rice Pro, carve initiation is almost effortless. I have the 157 at 170 pounds.

I think the 161 would be a better powder board at your height and weight than an all around board. Personal preference though. 161 would definitely not be super great in the park. Since you have the Reverse Crew, you could keep that for groomer days and ride the longer stick on powder days.
