This year wasn't TOO dry? I really enjoyed this year. Got some awesome powder turns in, fantastic season! It's because the 10/11 dump year was just TOO epic, nothing will ever be good enough again for you haha.

I remember that year, it was damn epic dump at Mammoth!  LOL  But then again Mammoth has been having a good year for a few years straight now.

Wow, that sucks for you.  How come you didn't go once?  We had a crappy season but still managed to get out there to ride so that was good.

still snowing at sea level here, so closing weekend should be a good one.  it's probably getting close to a foot of fresh up in the mountains, and a few inches down here since it's wetter and sometimes mixed with rain.  stoked to go out with a bang at least.

Are still going to hike after they close spenser? Youve gotta be close to a 100-day season.

We still got a weekend left at most Tahoe resorts! I think Alpine/Squaw will stay open into May.

I think Squaw is shutting down so Alpine and Kirkwood are going to stay open the longest I believe.

unless I splitboard tomorrow, I'm going to hit day 88 on closing day.  I do like post season shred, but after a lot of days in a season I start to lose motivation, especially this year since I have a boat now and it's almost fishin' time! but yeah, I figured since I'm so close, I might as well hit 100.  I usually get close to 70, but no injuries this year haha

I'm satisfied with an "average" year.  This year was below average at about 75%.  However, we'd all love a dump season.  Start your snow dances for next season!

Damn dude that's impressive and you're lucky. I'm happy to hit 25 days and anything beyond that is a bonus. And I'm talking east coast riding here so none of the awesome powder runs you're hitting. Honestly so jealous of you haha. Good luck looking for that 100 day mark.

Resort season my be coming to end but this is a great time to split board and climb peaks and ride down.  This is a great time to climb couloirs as theY have some stacked snow in them.

Last Sunday was my last day (for lift assisted shred that is).  I'm not sure if I'll be hiking anything this spring, cause our snow is disappearing really fast.

I'll have to say.  day 14 Sunday was one of the best of the year.  it was super warm (just a Hawaiian shirt for the most part, some sun, and some slushy corn stuff that was fun to push around.  kind of like heavy pow in a way.  I just stuck to the fun little groomed easier runs, and actually had a really fun day.

I think the fact that there was no pressure to go out and rip it added to the good times though.  just jibbing around.  turned out to be a good end to the season.

SoCal was dead to begin with.  LOL  Although it did have its moments a few times this season with some massive dump, but most of the time it was crap.

lol You're spot on with this, when it already became late earlier in the season into December and still no dump except for a so called "light dusting" and when it did actually snow the conditions were only good at the time being and the day after it would be all shit pretty disappointing season for all socal pass holders.

Nope, Kirkwood is going for one more week.  I did a late April trip up there last year and the slush was surprisingly fun.

The best conditions in Tahoe are here at Kirkwood!

Our proposed closing date is April 21st (with the Timber Creek area to close April 14th) so don't pack away your winter gear just yet.... 22+ groomed trails daily, two terrain parks, plenty of natural features and the best skiing and riding conditions in Tahoe!

Went kiteboarding today for the first time this year. Unfortunately, wind is not as reliable as gravity. Had a short session and packed it up. Last weekend for my home mountain, but Gore will be open next weekend, April 20 and 21. Hard to believe.

Can't you still hike and ride down or is it all off limits after closing?  You're lucky to even still be boarding!  Our season was killed off around easter.

still almost 13ft of snowpack at eaglecrest, but it's still cold and has been clear a lot lately so it's firm.  a little snow in the forecast for sea level tomorrow, so it will get a bit up there.  I've been lazy about post season splitting so haven't ridden for a week.  I have a feeling boat time is going to make me forget about splitting and I won't hit 100 days... or I should just do it regardless of conditions

They roped off everything! There was still some really good coverage, but I didn't want to risk getting my pass taken away. Maybe I was just being a baby.

A-basin is gonna be open until June, I'm not complaining at all!
