I don't know how I'm going to adjust to life around the ocean with no snow within 1000's of km's. 3 years of school left then back to the good stuff in Canada.

I know what you mean. beach is great an all but it really can't compare to the fresh snow on the mountain. :D

Can i go a tiny step further and say shtook the beach? I like windswept stormy beaches, where summer water temperatures are in the low teens at best making it not only refreshing but a massive battle of will to walk in far enough that when that cold water licks the underside of your balls you dont just run back to your towel like youve been assaulted. This whole baking hot sunshine with nice warm bath temperature water can bugger off. Not only does it not do anything for me, i actively despise it. That being said, if the suns out tomorrow i might actually try and ninja a day or two over at koh chang again.

You may.

I, as well, loath the beach. Phobias actually prevent me from entering the water, although, I am sure if the water was clear I could possibly do it.
Either way, the ocean is full of objects trying to kill you. Just has no draw for me. Now, from your photos, it looks like plenty of places to play up in those hills in the background!

Beaches are always too crowded and that marine smell stinks.

When I usually go on my huge extended family vacation to Cape Cod, we go to a very crowded and seaweed-infested beach. However, this year we're staying in a ocean-side house meaning we have a nice, private beach. Beach life to me now, is perfect

Having a private beach must be nice, the beach is always swarming with people over here and the rich thinks they own the beaches.  LOL
