Just saw this pop up on my news feed today and figured I would post it and create a poll.  Not sure if anyone started a thread on this already since i didn't look much, so sorry if I made a double.  Seems like a good discussion as this is the only XGames event I pay any attention to.  Which parts did you like?  Which did you not like?  My favorites were between Lando and Fredi, but my vote goes to Fredi on this one.

the player worked until I got to pat moore, so I'll have to watch that later.  out of the other 7, lando, carter, and fredi were the only ones I was really into.  rice's was rad because of the riding, but it was basically the one clip.  I got the idea that he doesn't really care but he's entering for fun.

the rest were boring.  wooo, cheesewedge jumps for every clip?  so damn boring.  all those guys are ripping riders who can do so much damn better than manmade jumps in the backcountry for a BACKCOUNTRY video part.

I thought lando and carter's footage made the most sense, because they're actually riding lines in the backcountry.  I'm expecting pat's part to be along those lines too, so I'm stoked to see it, just gotta wait til the videos work again, hah.

Lando for sure.  That was 90 seconds of what boarding is all about for me.

Damn, videos aren't working for me, crappy work laptop.

I'll view these at home tonight, nothing like some pow porn to get the blood flowing.  Great timing too, middle of summer and we need some snow vids.

Lando definitely had the best part IMO, like Spenser said its a backcountry contest not a build a jump contest. Surprised Blauvelt wasn't one of the riders considering he's all about backcountry.

they film parts during the winter and release the "product" later, after everything has been processed and decided, just like regular video parts.

I like this competition here. I like the fact that there is finally some emphasis on style and the riders can really get creative, much more so than they can in slopestlyle where its all about throwing doubles and a triple. Gotta say though, I'm pretty shocked at how uneven the votes were between Travis Rice and Mark Carter. Yeah Travis has great style and can put down incredible runs but I don't think he really showed it that well in his part. In my opinion Mark had a much better video than Travis and I just feel that Travis won by just being Travis. Not saying he didn't deserve it, I'm just saying that it should have been way closer.
