shamelessly stolen from others.

1. Think of a theme or scheme. Perhaps you have a white board and only want all black diecut stickers. Or vice versus. Or you have a white board and are doing a rainbow theme.

2. Don't place stickers of competing brands on the same board, esp. if it is snowboard companies.

EX. Rome Agent with a big Burton Diecut and a big Ride sticker.Dead

3. Map it out on the board before you place the stickers. Once they're there, they're a bitch to take off and you've usually wasted a sticker (although with a razor blade, a hair dryer and some patience, you can re-use a diecut from one board to the next). Some people take it to the next level and use Adobe Photoshop or a similar program to map out their sticker jobs on the computer first.

4. Consider off angles, showing only 3/4 of a sticker on the board, overlapping stickers, two-tone stickers (1/2 of one color and 1/2 of another).

5. Spray paint and Sharpie are allowed (refer to #3 though as it's permanent!)

6. Once you're done, sit back, take in the glory of your customized deck and snap a pic and post in the Post Your Boards section.

Often Asked Question #1: Where do I get stickers?

- Most companies on their website list a FAQ or address. Usually you can send a self-addressed envelope to the company and they will send it back with stickers. Burton asks that you write a letter to them to get stickers (but you don't need to do the SAE). Some companies like Grenade will give you a bunch of diecuts if you join their Community (Grenade Army). Other companies will hook you up if you send them an email telling them how stoked you are on their brand.

Often Asked Question #2: Where can I get diecuts?

- Diecuts are often hard to come by. They originate from stickers that were created for use on Automobiles, Boats, Planes, etc. These vinyl stickers are weather proof and last years. They have a white paper backing and a sticky white masking tape type material over them. This way you can place an elaborate logo exactly centered, lined up, etc. by sticking the sticker on the board and then peeling away the white masking tape material.

- Diecuts are usually team or VIP issue only. But as they have become more popular a lot of enterpreneurial souls have bought diecut sticker machines and have started selling stickers on eBay.

- Often time shops will also sell diecut stickers.

- Best way to get diecuts for free. Check out some company events. They're usually handing some out there. Or get to know your local rep or team riders. And again some companies will sell them to you or mail them to you for free!

good point on not placing stickers from competing snowboard companies.. i find it odd when ppl put a Burton sticker on a non-Burton board.

i don't know. i don't see it as that big of a problem or what not. maybe if it were like a Capita board and an Arbor board and you placed a sticker of either or each other, i could see the oddities.

but Burton makes boots and bindings, Rome makes bindings, etc. so, like me, i've got the DH and Burton boots and bindings and i stuck a square 3"x3" Burton sticker on there (which is coming off, anyways) and i don't see a huge problem. i don't know, i guess that's just me.

i want stickers, hoon! hahahha. Big%20smile

David: i got a goody bag filled with never ending prizes inside

Nu-Nu: havent even been to tahoe yet this season, i've only gone to colorado (6 days) and the was great! snow wise and crowd wise. but im goin to tahoe soon for sure. ill keep you informed

Hoon: oh my goodness i love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it just works great for me and how i ride. i dont really know how to give a "review" of a board and what i look for (flaws and such) all i know is it works great for me. and the rome stickers will look awesome and will please you (same brand on same brand )

easiest thing to do is email or write a letter to your favorite company. 9 times out of 10 they will send you some stickers. shoot, they even list it on their websites.
 
Example:
2. How do I get stickers and/or posters sent to me?

If you'd like us to send you a handful of Ride stickers, please send a separate self-addressed, stamped (postage paid) envelope inside the envelope you're mailing us. You want the bigger stickers? Send a bigger self-addressed, postage paid envelope inside the one you mail us. You want posters? We'll have to fold them, but again, send a self-addressed, postage paid envelope that's at least 10X12, if not 11X13, inside the envelope you're mailing us, and we'll send them your way!

I went into a shop and asked if i could buy some stickers and he just gave me a bunch for free. I got some 686, section, Anon, volcom, helly hanson. That guy was super and the shop had all the 07 gear. Chattin about the new DC allegiance and it looks like the best of 07.

what about throwing on stickers from your boot company (dc), your bindings company (Burton) your helmet company(red), and some shops that helped you out a bunch or got you free stuff

cause i know on my board, theres a story behind every sticker or diecut that i have. some people say its too much but i know why i have each and every one on there

For sweetness of stickerage. When i was in Japan i emailed Burton Tokyo to get a goggle gasket and then i emailed them again and asked them to send some stickers with the gasket and they said that the gasket had been sent already, so they just sent another envelope full of stickers. It was rather swell.

ive checked out the manufacturer's websites for their stickers section...and some of them like DC don't let you know how to contact them for stickers....so i just sent out emails.
