hey guys so i found cheap burton genesis and malavita, they're both ranked almost the same on burton.com and other reviews. I'm sure there are some differences once i ride them, but i wanted your opinion if anyone has rode them before and can help me make a decision!!
I ended up buying both of them since the place i bought it from allows one year return even if i used it.

I'd provide product links... but their site seems to be down at the moment...

Hmm i've been doing some research too, but some say that genesis is more responsive while others say malativa is much more responsive...

Since both bindings' flex ratings are 6...
I doubt that an average weekend warrior will be able to tell there will be much difference between the two.
One might be a tad stiffer than the other but the advantages/disadvantages of one over the other are subtle.
I'll say go for the one that looks better to you.

the genesis is softer in the highback, that's for sure.  the vita's is stiff straight back, and has a firm medium torsional flex.  the genesis highback can actually flex a little straight back, and also has some torsional flex.  genesis is noticeably lighter though with the high tech design, but it's not supposed to be a stiff binding like many of the more expensive ones are.  the feel rating burton gives is the same, but the vita is the more responsive binding overall, mostly in the highback.  had a couple friends who got genesis backs through us last year to build some franken-bindings, and quickly came back asking for vitas because they didn't like the softer feel of the genesis back.  that's just them personally though, but it gives you an idea of the difference.  it's not HUGE, but enough to cause a person to prefer one over the other.

personally I would take the vitas because I like the more responsive binding, but it all depends what you personally are looking for.  I also think the vitas are better looking, but to be fair, techy-looking bindings are not my thing so that explains it.

hmm that's a good info to them. I'm looking for responsive bindings too! I was leaning towards genesis cause i've heard it's lighter as just as responsive without being as stiff due to some sort of high tech design (from burton) but a decent amount of people thought Malavita was more responsive and stiff. I guess I'll save some money and just stick with malavita!
