Rumors have Martin Brodeur heading to the Wild.  Wonder where Minnesota is finding the money?  Parise, Suter, Koivu, Heatley... that's a lot of money tied up just between those 4 players.  Plus Harding is 18-7-3 in net with a 1.66 GAA and .933 SV%, not too shabby.  NM, just read Harding is out indefinitely.

Trades are going nuts today... deadline is 3:00 EST I believe.

L.A. Kings trade to get Marion Gaborik.

Rangers send Ryan Callahan (captain of the Rangers) to Tampa Bay in exchange for Martin St. Louis.

Canucks send Roberto Luongo back to Florida.

Flyers trade for shot-blocking Andy McDonald.

Capitals get Dustin Penner from the Ducks.

Florida sends Tim Thomas to Dallas after acquiring Luongo. Not sure how getting the 40yr old goalie helps the Stars...

I can't believe the Canucks were able to trade Luongo with that massive contract!

Bobby Loo looking like his vintage self back in Florida. Canucks just in shambles now. Goalie controversy last year and now they don't have either one.

Gaborik isn't the same guy he used to be after all the injuries. Seems to have lost his scoring touch a bit. Hope for Kings fans that's not the case.

Dallas' move to get Tim Thomas is looking pretty smart now since Lehtonen got hurt on Saturday. Now sure how long he'll be out w/ the head injury... They're on track to get in the playoffs via wildcard right now Clap

With Dallas in the 2nd Wild Card spot getting Timmy was a great move.  The top teams in the Western Conference are looking good heading towards the end of the regular season.  St. Louis and Anaheim are leading their divisions and just a point apart for best overall record.  Ryan Miller is 4-0 as a Blue, allowing 6 goals in 4 games.  Chicago looks good, San Jose looks good although they always choke in the playoffs.  I'm looking forward to seeing what Patty Roy does with the Avs in the playoffs.

The final WC spot is Dallas' to lose. PHX is probably the only team that could give them a scare if they get hot

Crazy to hear about Rich Peverley collapsing yesterday during the game. Reminds me of what happened to Jiri Fischer years ago.

The Stars' Rich Peverley went to bench for a line change..and collapsed last night. It's sounding like his heart stopped beating. He was taken down the tunnel by the medical staff. So the players didn't know what happened to him after that. I'm sure some of the players were thinking that their teammate just died in front of them. He was revived in the locker room and was conscious and actually wanted to return to play the game. The game was delayed for a long time, then postponed after the incident.

That must have been scary for everyone involved. The Stars have to shake it off and play another game tonight...Confused

^ That was a scary moment, I watched a replay on ESPN.  Something similar happened about 5 years ago, can't remember the team but a player's heart stopped and the trainer was able to revive him.

Avs win in OT but lose Parenteau to a knee injury, could be out for the remainder of the regular season.

I guess the Stars didn't like him wearing his old Florida helmet, like he did in his 1st game replacing the injured Lehtonen. So, he's wearing an all-black helmet for now that he prob got at the local sports equipment store. LOL

St. Patty (Roy) returns to Montreal tonight to coach his first game against the Canadiens - where he spent the first 10 years of his career.

St. Louis wins 3-1 over Winnipeg which gives them a 7-0-1 record since trading fro Ryan Miller.  The win also pushes the Blues to 101 points, leading the Western Conference.

Avs will roll over the Habs. Too fast and too skilled.

I'd like to see Mario Tremblay sitting behind Roy while he coaches and see if that fazes him.

Yep. All Avs fans should know and thank Tremblay cuz he's the reason for the Roy trade. Didn't give up much to get him either. From what I remember, it's Thibault, Rucinsky, and couple other avg players. Total rape trade.

Hmmm, damned Les Habitantes crushed my Avs 6-3.  Oh well, let's move on to tonight's game against the Jets.  Playing in Montreal last night, Winnipeg tonight (over 1,400 miles), Avs are going to be tired.

Stamkos lit them up for 3 himself. Idk what's going on but the december slide is making a strong comeback in the month of March.

Miller and the Blues had a good run since the trade deadline but Hawks just reminded them why they're the best. Too bad it cost them Patrick Kane.

The battle for the wild card spots wages on.  In the West the Wild, Coyotes and Stars all have a legit shot.  The East is a bit more complicated with the Red Wings, Maple Leafs, Capitals, Blue Jackets and Devils fighting for the 2 wild card spots.  Should make for some entertaining hockey over the next couple of weeks.

Oh they're having a streak alright.... too bad it's on the wrong side of the spectrum. Watch the games and you'll see how flat they are.

5-3 loss to the blues wasn't even close to what it should've been. On top of that, a CBJ win over the Wings bumped the Leafs out of the WC, then the Caps get a point in the OT loss to Kings moving ahead in the standings. A 3 spot drop off all in one night! Where did I keep that paper bag again?

I'm surprised he hasn't pulled a groin muscle since being traded. *knock on wood*  Anytime he's able to dress and stay off the IR is a plus.

Avs win ina  shootout 5-4 over Nashville, a game in which they never led.  Feels good getting 2 points out of this game, giving the team 96 points on the season with 10 games remaining.

Stars lost and Coyotes won last night...Stars are now 3pts behind for the last Wild Card spot...with 1 less game played...only 10 games left...with last reg season game @ Phoenix. That last game could determine who gets in the playoffs...

It's painful to watch Leaf games with Phaneuf at the helm and no goaltending. Jersey is creeping up now! Can't see them winning in Philly tmw but Detroit on saturday is gonna be a huge game. If they can't get 2 points here then they don't deserve playoffs.

Kings now have won 5 in a row overall and 8 in a row on the road tying a franchise record established in '74.

Feel sorry for the team that plays them in the first round.  Not that the Kings will win necessarily but brutal if you are a top 3 seed and you draw the Kings.

Make that 6 in a row for Kings and 14 of 17 since break...only 3 losses were all by one goal.  They are also two wins away for single season record and they are likely to finish in 6th place!
