Cavs signed Marion for $1.4 million. Whole bunch of nice additions to this team but still won't be enough for the Spurs.

The Cavs are looking better by the day. With Lebron, Love, and Irving as the new (and younger) big 3; and a better supporting cast than what the Heat did with Marion, Varejao, Brendan Haywood, Tristan Thompson, Dion Waiters, and some old Heat players in Mike Miller and James Jones.

With a healthy Rose, the Bulls and Cavs will be the 2 teams playing for the East.

We're hoping Rose can play a full season to give the Bulls a chance to compete with the Cavs.  Rose has played in just 20 games combined over the past 2 seasons and is on the U.S. national team with Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau.  Hopefully Thibodeau will play Rose sparingly.

love deal has been agreed upon and involves three teams (still have to be approved by the league)

cavs get: love

wolves get: wiggins, bennett, thaddeus young

76ers: luc mbah a moute, shved and a 2015 first round pick.

wolves have come out pretty damn good.

Team USA is complete with the final cuts being Lillard, Parsons, Korver, and Hayward. I surprised they didn't keep Korver or Parsons for added outside shooting.

They're more focused on pounding it in with bigs. Curry and Thompson will handle the outside shooting duties.

Miami's big 3 took a year to learn to play together before winning. I think the Cavs will also have a transition period and will have some growing pains this first year. Too bad Lebron is able to opt out after the 1st season, and Love's contract will be done as well. Unless both extend their contracts, it'll all be for nothing LOL

They did make the finals and Dirk played out of his mind that series...so even with growing pains they almost won the title.

It will definitely be interesting to see how far they go in the first year..

clippers have locked up doc rivers until 2019.

I can see them taking the East...but, I don't think they can beat the best of the West: SA, OKC, LAC. I can see them beating POR, DAL, or HOU though, but these teams are not likely to make it to the Finals.

I would pick SA again but at their age and the fact they went to two straight finals you have to figure some injuries will plague them this year so being forced to pick another team I would pick Cleveland.  I just dont think OKC is gonna get over the hump for some reason...and Cleveland seems like a better shot than LAC.

Rates the likelihood of each team winning the title...they give the lakers the third worst chance. This is actually good news as a Laker fan...if they finish in the bottom 5 they keep their pick that Phoenix has the rights to.

I'm able to watch the FIBA games on ESPN3. the US team has been blowing out just about every team, except Turkey. They were behind at half time, but dominated the 2nd half. They should let the backups play more and save the starters' legs...

Not to detract from SA at all, but if I had to pick now, Cleveland would be my pick.  There is a lot of talent there, and it is just a lot easier to get to the finals in the East.  I would take the field against them still, but if I had to just pick one team from the West, I can't do it.

Kyrie Irving was injured near the end of another blowout game against Puerto Rico. Now, why is a starter still on the court when the game had already been decided? Maybe the Bulls coach is limiting Rose's minutes so he doesn't get hurt? Confused

Why are people getting injured more in these games than full speed practices?  It's not like like basketball players are playing, sprinting, cutting, and jumping all off-season.

European journalist to DeMarcus Cousins: "Do you know where Slovenia is?"
Cousins: "No, do you know where Alabama is?"

Good job DeMarcus! Way to show the smart-ass reporter up.

France upset Spain in the FIBA World Cup quarter finals and will play Serbia in the Semis. US will play Lithuania in the other Semis.

Spain was the top team that had a chance to beat the US. Now that they're out, it's going to be much easier for the Americans to take home the gold.

Demarcus Cousins got a technical because he took a couple steps at a player after being elbowed in the throat...I guess because the other player got scared and flinched? LOL

Went to the Bulls game tonight after getting some free tickets. You'd think we would easily win against the Pacers but definitely didn't happen. Really disappointing.

Raps to honour VC at tonights game. I agree but also disagree at the same time. He put Toronto on the map but didn't like how he sandbagged his game before leaving.

Should be a fun game. Pierce was a good addition for the Wizards. He brings the experience they need, and he only needs to play a few minutes for them.

Dirk rolled his ankle in the 4th..got it taped up and came back to hit a key to 3 to beat the Wizards. So much for the soft-euro stereotype. Washington looks like they might be one of the top contenders in the East now with the way they've been playing.

Lakers got lucky and played the Rockets without Dwight Howard to get their 3rd win, 2nd straight.

Mavs play Lakers tomorrow. Sorry LA, your win streak just ended.

No need to apologize...as a Laker fan I want them to lose every game so they secure a lottery pick next year and keep their pick...this is the quickest road to recovery which is to have some young talent to attract free agents with the money they have to spend moving forward.
