My brother just recently moved to Seattle, and I get to visit him this winter break!! Whoop whoop!

Anyway, I am looking for an el cheapo snowboard travel bag to take it with me on the plane when I fly there. Thanks!

El cheapo snowboard bag means no padding... nothing to protect your valuable boards that the luggage handlers could give 2 shits about.  Unless you plan on padding the hell out of your boards I would go with a sturdier padded bag.

+1 to what sideways says.  I would recommend something like this, http://www.trusnow.com/Burton-Wheelie-Gig-Snowboard-Bag.asp.
I have one of these and it's great for flying.  The bag is big enough to hold everything you need: boards, bindings, helmet, boots, clothes, etc.  Also it has wheels so it's easy to walk around with.
Sounds like this will be your first time flying with a board bag, when looking for flights make sure you look at how much the airline charges for "oversize bags", some charge $25, some $50 or more.  There maybe other ones but I know Southwest and Jetblue allow FREE oversize bags up to 50 lbs.

I have the wheelie gig bag and it seems great although I've never used it yet but I also have the Sierra cheapo bag and well it's cheapo alright.  LOL

^ To add on to dlaw's reply do not fly Spirit, they nickle and dime you for everything... including checked luggage weighing over 40 lbs.  A lot of airlines are good with oversize bags under 50 lbs. but not Spirit...

A couple of cheaper wheeled and padded options (I prefer a wheeled bag, much easier getting around an airport with a wheeled bag):

And let me add 1 more padded, wheeled bag (my buddy has one of these and it is a really nice bag):

Find a bag yet.

I have an Ellis padded/wheeled snowboard bag. Used once. Need cash so I'm willing to let it go. Purple/black pill design. Was able to fit 2 boards, pants, boots, goggles. Has 3 compartments on the exterior and a couple smaller one inside.

You didn't know what you think you thought you knew.
