So I'm finally getting a new board after around 5 seasons. My old one was to much of a freeride board with it being really stiff and having a very setback stance. So now I'm looking for something more playful in the park and on groomers. But still floats through powder. So I just got a 2013 burton process flying v. I read up on it and it seemed to be exactly what I wanted and a guy on craigslist had a brand new one for pretty cheap. But I'm not too familiar as which bindings are compatible with the est / ics setup. Can't you just use normal bindings with an adapter? I found a cheap pair of burton p1 bindings in good shape with brand new straps. Hopefully its possible because whenever I lookup ics or est bindings. They're all way too expensive.

Yes, most binding companies, definitely Burton, offer adapter plates for the ICS system. Give Burton Rider Services a call at 800-881-3138, and they can hook you up if you go with Burton bindings. You might have to pay $10ish for an adapter plate for another brand.

Yup sweet man I appreciate it. Also I was curious if certain boot companies fit better with certain binding companies. Idk just a thought.

In the olden days, they used to suggest matching boots to bindings (as far as brand is concerned), but now, bindings are so adjustable that any boot should work with nearly all bindings.

I went from Ride bindings with Burton boots to Union bindings, then got new Salamon boots and they've all worked perfectly together.  Honestly, I would prefer less adjustability, because i'm always messing with them!

With no other info, I don't think you'll have a problem, but what is the size of your board?  Do you know its waist width? That is super important when checking out if you'll drag.  What are your binding angles?  More ducky makes less foot overhang.
