    Posted: Dec/23/2013 at 11:13pm
I just went out boarding tonight for the first time in probably 2 years. I noticed that my Smith Fuse goggles fit like crap with my glasses! I guess the glasses I had before probably had a smaller frame.

Does anyone know of any goggles that are made to work with glasses? (extra space behind lens, cutouts for for the side pieces, etc?)

Thanks in advance!

Smith Knowledge OTG.
I used them whenever my eye doesn't agree with contacts.
I've mid size glasses, the goggles fits great over them.
Glasses and goggs never fogged, no need for the extra fan which adds weight.
There are other OTG (over the glasses) goggs as well.

try going for any of the "bowl" style goggles. You get more space around the peripherals for your glasses frame to fit. Of the top of my head i can think of :

oakley crowbars
electric EG2
anon hawkeye
von zipper fishbowl

My ride buddy wears Smith I/O over his eyeglasses. He says it fits fine and would fit better if he'd cut slits into the sides of the foam to fit the eyeglass frames. Authentic over-the-glasses goggles sit deeper than normal, are moulded a little flatter, and already have slits in them.

I think it will depend on the eyeglasses in question. My sister just got a pair of Smiths and also tried on the I/Os while shopping and they did not fit her. I don't know which ones she ended up getting though unfortunately. Additionally, she wears her old pair of glasses with the goggles because the new ones are too big to fit. So in light of that: Definitely try the goggles with the glasses that you want to wear.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I'll have to swing by the local board shop one of these days and try a few on. I suppose I should bring my helmet as well to see how the whole package works together.

Spy Platoons work well, but my glasses tend to fog up sometimes. The fitment is really good though

it hanestly depends on the size of your googles. I had crowbar that fit my old glasses but doesn't on the new glass l wear. I feel that it gets uncomfrotable with the strap too as it hits the legs of your glasses. Best way, honestly is to get contact. I got it and only use it during snowboarding

Oakley used to make a nice pair of OTGs that had comfortable slits in the foam for your glasses. They've probably changed names since the time I had a pair.

Ultimately though, I went to contacts. Glasses just were too difficult on the mountain.

I think it's oakley O frame goggles that i have at home?
They never fog up or fog up my glasses. The only bad thing them are they're really curved and i have a big head/face. so it kinda pulls my skin around the edges and makes it a bit uncomfortable at the beginning. I sort of adapted to it but i need to figure out how to flatten it a little bit
