I want to buy new goggles and im debating between the EG2 with orange lens or EG1S with red chrome lens..

What do you think about the goggles?
What are the differences between them?
and What are the differences between the lens?

Thank you!

Biggest difference is size.  Have you had a chance to try them on in a store?  If memory serves correctly, the EG2 is bigger than the 1.  I liked the 2 myself much better, but I also wear a 7 1/2 fitted hat.

The lenses: red chrome is sweet looking (if that's your thing.. then go for it) and better for brighter conditions.  the orange is going to be more of a middle of the road lens for multi conditions.

I've worn a few pairs of Electric sunglasses in my day, and I really like the brand.  But, these gogs just didn't really fit me well enough to actually buy.

before last season, I went on a massive goggles search (after I got fed up with my smith I/O fogging), trying on just about every goggle on the market.

EG2 are much bigger than EG1.  Granted, I don't have a huge head, so both of them looked stupid big on me...plus there's too much foam (protrude too far from my face) and the quality is only so-so.

Out of all, the goggles I liked best (and didn't make me look like a giant mosquito) were the Spy Marshall and Dragon Rogue.  Spy are a little better quality, but I went with Dragon because they're decent and a hell of lot cheaper (basically got 2 for the price of 1).  I wore them all last season and am extremely happy with that purchase(s)

thank you!

I want to buy the goggles from ebay. and i live in israel so I cant measure them.
in Israel, the price is really expensive relative to the U.S. its socks!

And one more question...
You say there is no difference between the lenses red chrome and orange?
Only beauty??

thank you and happy new year!!

they may have a lens visual light transmission (VLT) list somewhere, but electric doesn't seem to have it on their site (another reason I didn't buy them).  You can find a third party list here...although how accurate it is, you'll have to guess

Piranha - It's right here: http://www.electriccalifornia.com/snow-goggles/lens-guide

Triki- that orange one should get you the widest range of light conditions, but it will not be perfect for any one condition.

If the orange lens you're referring to is the bronze lens, then it should be similar to the red chrome lens. the red chrome lens has a base bronze lens as well. the only difference is that it has a red chrome outer layer, which would effect it slightly. both lenses should be "ok" for most weather conditions.

its up to you if you prefer to have red chrome on the outside or not.

EG2.5's are basically identical to EG2's except they're smaller, for people with smaller heads like myself. So if the OP has a small head check out the 2.5's.
