Hi all,

I am very very new to snowboard. I just bought a used snowboard from CL but the binding of the strap is broken. The board and the binding are both from Burton. I believe the board fits 3 hole binding. I will need to go to snowboard very soon. Can anyone tell me where I can replace the straps or buy a cheap new binding? I went to Big 5 and Sport chalet, but they told me that only burton binding will fit. Actually, the mountain high snowboard rental used their binding on my board once and it worked, So I don't believe that only burton binding fits the board.

Please help me!

I really appreciate it!

It doesn't seem TruSnow has toe caps or ankle straps.... other retailers will though.  Ask google for some burton 'get a grip toe caps'  and burton ankle straps.  Or if you just need ladders or tongue and slider kits those are available for under $10.
Check these out:
http://www.evo.com/snowboard-binding-parts/burton-tongue-slider-kit.aspx#image=70196/338783/burton-tongue-slider-kit-2014-black.jpg

The ppl at Big 5 and Sport Chalet are full of crap.  Many binding brands will fit Burton boards no matter the insert hole pattern.  Although you may need an adapter disk.
Hope this helps.

Depending on what part of the strap is broken and needs replacing, you might be able to just call up Burton's W48 Rider's Services and ask for a new part- they usually will send out sliders or ratchets if those are broken. If you need a whole new strap, there's plenty of places to buy them online, as Mike pointed out. Lots of Burton parts can be had here: http://www.fixmybinding.com/ Just pay attention to what you need, and what is included. Ratchets, for example, are not truly part of the toe/ankle strap, and so may or may not be included in what you buy.

Yep.   Bindings not fitting the 3D pattern has not been an issue for what, a decade + now?  Unless the OP's board is a really old funky patterned board??

I just bought a MARROW binding and AVALANCHE binding. Both of them are 4x4 mount system which show they won't fit my board on the manual. My board is burton 3D pattern. Can you guys send me some cheap bindings that fits my board(3D pattern).

not sure how much the marrow and avalanche set you back, but you can definitely get a pair of rome bindings already (mob and aresnal are good and the mounting plates will fit). anyhow, a 3d unidisk is all you need to mount on burton 3d pattens http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Burton-Unidisk-3-4-Hole-Binding-Mounting-Discs-/310285364740?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Skiing_Accessories&hash=item483e72ee04 or if you have a http://assets.ridesnowboards.com/ride/ftpride/files/ride_disc.pdf those will work.
hmmm... Now What???

Thank you for your advise!
I have one question, I tried to used my 3D disk(from my old binding) on the bindings that I just bought but the disk doesn't fit the new bidnings. Will this disk(Ebay) fit the morrow binding?

can you return those bindings you just bought? because it will be much easier to just get a pair that have spare parts that fit than buying parts from other company and hope it will fit.

and wtf with the binding straps crap.

I doubt the seller would allow a return but you can try.  You should ask more questions before you start buying things.

if you want cheaper than 90$ i'd check craigslist/ebay/used etc.  Again the 3d pattern is the mounting disk, not the binding.  So long as you get the correct adapter plate your binding choices should be pretty broad.  Though finding the adapter plate may not be super simple.

for this season i decided to get switchbacks. they are awesome. i decided to go for no high backs. it feels great. i have relatively stiff boots so it really made no difference. if anything there way be a little bit more give on the toes. turning heel side is so much fun! there are no restrictions and my ankles just feels free.

I kind of want to try it for a run though.
