This might have been the best East Coast ski season on record and it's still going for many. I know for many of you are ready to move on but, to me it was a special one. Skiing with my kids on steeps and in trees for a first time; well nothing can be said about that. Here is the latest of our video ski journal that I think all my skiing and boarding friends might like. Next season we are asking that our skier and boarder friends contact us to be part of our ongoing journal. We hope to see you on the slopes somewhere. The latest - April Winter recorded at Jay Peak, VT just last weekend. — with Tom Thrash, Alicia, Alessandro, Nevada and Ray Alba at Jay Peak Resort

Nice. I caught the storm up there that week. I was still finding fresh tracking in the woods when I left on that Friday. I love Jay. My last trip had me thinking of buying a small place up there.

It's been a fantastic season. Didn't get up to Vermont, but Hunter was in excellent shape April 12. Gore was in nice condition on the upper mountain in March although they did not get that much snow this season. I can't believe Killington is still open this weekend. If it was closer I would definitely go.

Different places and different vibe. Tremblant is in Quebec so, the vibe is going to be more Euro. So, if you are going for the night life and culture then I would say Tremblant would be fun. But, Jay has some of that too and MUCH better skiing.

Vertical is better and so are the lines at Jay over Tremblant in my opinion.

Yes - I too live in NYC - Hunter was incredible this year.. We live in NYC and we got a good number of days there too! We were debating skiing there through April 12 but, we decided to get the Spring Pass to Mount Snow since that was 79 dollars, we had not been there and the snow was going to be good too...

That is a video that EpicSki featured on their carousel. I was flattered. we are just doing all this video journal stuff for fun.

Hunter is a great mountain....

As for Jay - oh, that place is still going strong.

I'm kind of averse to long lines and that was my main concern about Hunter. But with the six passenger high speed chair and the detachable quad on the west side I hope it will be bearable. I think I am going to go for a season pass at Hunter next year and do an adult seasonal program. They have one that incorporates four hours a day of small group instruction and runs most of the season. Participants also can take advantage of the ski school line for a shorter wait. With 1500 feet of vertical there isn't anything better short of Vermont, which is just too much of a trip every weekend.

I made the trip to Whiteface once this season- that is a big mountain, you can burn a lot of vertical on the gondola. But it was mostly groomed flat when I visited.

Hey guys, can you also look at this video on the Warren Miller competition and vote for it...?

Powder Mecca is up for vote again today 5/2/2014 and tomorrow until midnight. Do you think you can vote this round and once he is in the final 4, then it's in Warren Miller's hands. The Facebook link again

The direct link to the app, that also works on mobile/ipad etc:

Thanks, it's a buddy of mine and we both had videos in the competition. I am out now, it was close, this one is close too.. Crazy.. Close. It's a great video and unofficial networks also picked it up a couple of weeks back.

Let me know..

thank you....
