And please do NOT ditch the point system :)

Definitely something that needs to be addressed.  Sometimes the filters work (rare), nost time they do not.  Also, when filtering a product page sometimes you cannot navigate past page 1.

Sometimes it would pull things that not even closely related.  LOL

Definitely think the giveaway should be more... focused on active members. It should also be varied away from just the old sierra slosh. Plenty of reasonably old gear out there sitting on shelves. Definitely good reason to see some of it thrown in once a week/fortnight or so to keep things entertaining. Perhaps more contest based as VR suggested.

Please please though do it all now. Right now. Get it done now. Once pre season hits we'll be back saying "ah, we really felt the site needed a new look, but we sorta missed the window and now its a bit late since this is really the worst time to bring the site down".

Do it yesterday if you can. Im not keeping up, but tech is usually coming through around the next two or three weeks, and that means you need to have the blurbs and marketing looking spectacular if you want to actually be the site that people come too to buy their gear. If it just looks like the same site it always looked like, well, you know... that site ended up with a bit of an image problem around 3-4 years ago. Perhaps after the whole merger it was appropriate to keep the look to suggest that the buyout by the house hadnt affected the core of the forums and the business. But those people are, for the most part, gone. It needs a facelift and a complete re-imaging. You have no idea how disappointing it is as a former frequent user of this site to come back after about 7 or 8 months without bothering to really look at it, and see it look possibly even worse than it has.

Agree that the site should be incrementally upgraded as new features are tested and can be introduced.  No need for a TruSnow 2.0 launch with everything done that will scare users with how different it might look.

I would like to see:
the year of each item listed.
clothing and gear pictures with each color because a lot of the clever color names don't  match any normal color.
A detail description of each item. Some have nothing but a blank page.
Accurate size charts, some have women's measurements on men's clothes, etc.
All clothes, boots, outerwear, etc should say mens or womens on each item. Some boots especially, come in a mens and womens version with the same name.

^ Definitely.  Please put years on the gears, no one wants to buy 6 year old bindings thinking that are only 2 years old.

Clap Me too TS!

Things have smoothed out a ton this week.

Still some hiccups with sorting, filtering, and the speed of product pages (not to mention the ones with blank info on them), but the forums and some product areas are running fine again.

Stock definitely seems to be problematic right now.  but the"filter options" feature is still often messed up.
